:)We just returned from our first split stay. We decided it was time to venture off the monorail hotels and head for something new !!:yay: We chose to try out the Boardwalk Inn club level for 3 nights.

Here is our review !! BWI CL was beautiful !! We had a room on the corner, just above the Flying Fish !! Our balcony could have held 25 people !! The view was amazing !! The Innkeepers Club was wonderful, breakfast selection was great, the CM were SUPER nice !! There was one guy who had us laughing every day !! He was super sweet !! The lounge is small, but there was NEVER anyone in it, so we had lots of room to ourselves !! The boardwalk was a bit loud on our first night (we were all exhausted from our travel and then hike over to HS that we went to bed about 10pm), there was a magician just outside our window who was VERY loud. But beyond that night it was fine. We liked that it was close to both HS and Epcot. So those are the PROS.....here are the CONS.....Long hike to the main pool (once you figured out where the heck it was)....bus to Magic Kingdom....OH MY SOOOOO LONG, it took us over 45 minutes to get there !! Balcony to watch the fireworks from the lounge was VERY small (our balcony was bigger...but we couldn't see the fireworks) !! The biggest CON for us....we didn't "feel the magic" until we arrived at Poly !! I guess it is just personal preferance....I like to SEE the castle, hear the music, see the fireworks ! That to me IS DISNEY !! :)

The second half of our stay was our home away from home...Polynesian Club Level !! We LOVE Poly club level !! Never a bad thing to say about it.....lounge is HUGE, but very very busy over the weekend !! Food is wonderful. We arrived to check in at 9am from Boardwalk. Our "original" room was not ready, so the quickly UPGRADED us without us even asking to a 3rd floor CASTLE VIEW ROOM !! It was amazing !! My daughter LOVED that she could sit in her bed (the daybed) and see the castle !! :) The main pool is just next door, the boat to the MK is very close. Bus rides to the other parks are quick, only sharing with Contemp.

So in the end, I am glad we did the split stay, it was something new, but I doubt we will do it again !! We are MONORAIL people !! The magic IS THE CASTLE for us !! We have stayed at GF, Contemp, and Poly all club level (really with 5 people, it is worth the $$ instead of the dining plan) and LOVE them all, but Polynesian is HOME !!

Sounds like you had an amazing vacation!!! Hey, at least you tried something new and now you know what you like!! :goodvibes

Thank you for your trip report on both the BWI & the Poly club levels. You had the same room we did at the BWI club level back in 2007. It was a big balcony. If you ever go back (sound like you are Poly people ) ask for an even number room & you will see the fireworks. Glad you found the CMs friendly. :) I hear you on the buses to the MK to me it a matter of luck. The shortest we had was 15 minutes the guy was flying lol

I stayed at the Poly club level back in 1995 and loved it as well. But we prefer the Epcot resorts a bit more so. Glad you all had a great time :)

I'm glad you you enjoyed your trip. We just returned from a BW/PolyCL/YC CL trip split. I love all three resorts, but the only one I will do Cl again is at the Poly. You get more than just food you get location. It makes it worth the extra money. Did you try the punch?

Glad you had a great trip and thanks for your review :). We are trying Poly CL for the first time next June (we've stayed at the Poly before but not CL). BWI CL is one I want to try, but we also love the MK area and it's hard to stay elsewhere, especially since the Poly is in a great location with a distant view of the castle every day :cloud9:. It's nice to try new resorts, but it's also nice going "home" to your favorites :goodvibes.

You have made me so excited to get back to the Poly!!! We have not stayed CL, but I agree about everything you touched on about the Poly....cannot wait!!!:banana:
