Hi All. We just got home from a 10 day stay at OKW on the 10th. The trip flew by so fast I need another vacation.
We checked in Monday morning (4/30). We could have had a room right away, but we waited for a building we requested, 55 was all full so we got #45 room 4510. It was a very obstructed view of the canal, but the room was clean and neat and we were home. We had a problem with the air conditioner, it was leaking all over the floor in front of the sink. We called maintenance. They came right away, the drain in the sink was plugged. Apparently the sytems are connected. So she fixed it and it only dripped once in a while until the next day. They also sent housekeeping to clean up the wet floor.
Despite the weather forecast of warm and sunny when we left, it rained on and off the first 4 days. After that the weather was gorgeous:bounce:
The flower festival at EPCOT was nice, different displays this year. We went to see WLV. Very nice, cozy. We ate at Artist Point. I had the plank salmon, DH had the filet. Yummy!
Our last night, we met a couple that actually owns 2000 points. They bought back in 1992. They have been to many place using their points. They had just checked in for a 3 week stay in a 1-bedroom. I wish we had 2000 points.
We had a great time!

Glad you had a great time. Did you walk to DD and, if so, how long did it take you from OKW? Is it a nice walk? We were at the BC and AKL the same time and the weather was not the greatest but we had a wonderful time. We just bought at OKW and have never even seen it but have liked DL in the past and love taking the river ride to DD, etc. Hope we like it.

AMI-- Welcome Home!!

The walk from OKW to DD takes about 15 minutes from building 55 to the Cirque parking lot. We walked it this morning and from building 36 it took 65 minutes to walk thru DD and over to DI and back to our room at a leisurely pace. You can walk from OKW to PI in about 20 minutes.

Enjoy!

I agree, owning 2000 points would be awesome, but paying the dues on 2000 point wouldn't be. I bet dues are around $450 a mont on 2000 point....yikes! I guess, though, if you can afford 2000 points, you can afford the dues too.

They are paying more in annual dues than what I paid for my 150 points at Boardwalk Villas!

We walked to DD several times during our trip. Have to burn those calories some how. It is a nice walk. The only problem we had was too many Castmembers driving their small vehicles on the path. I don't need to feel like I'll get run over on a walking path.

I can't imagine paying dues on 2000 points either. But, I am guessing it is not a problem for these peaople.
