We just returned from a 6 day trip. We stayed at POFQ and had an awesome time. This is definitley my favorite resort now! We had a good experience from the very beginning. We got there at 9:45am and there were no lines at check-in and our room was already ready! How great was that?!? This resort is so beautiful and small enough that you don't have to do a ton of walking to get to the food court, check in, bus stop, pool, etc. We stayed in building 4 and we couldn't have had a better location. The resort was so clean! Maid service was very good. We had towel animals one day and our room was always cleaned early. I thought that the food court food was excellent! Their cheesecake is to die for! I really enjoyed taking the boat from the resort to Downtown Disney. It is very relaxaing. However, one word of caution...I would not sit near the back of the boat. It can get a little loud. All in all, this is a fabulous resort and I would highly recommend it to anyone. Oh yeah, bus service was pretty good. The only buses that we really had to wait for were going to Downtown Disney. We had a 30 minute wait one time for that one. That was when we decided to start using the boat!:lmao: There were only 1 time that we had to stand on a bus and that was coming back from one of the parks. Other than that, we had no problems with the buses. If anyone has any questions, I will do my best to answer them.

Glad you had a great experience at POFQ! It is our favorite resort as well. Can't wait until we stay there again next May!

glad to hear great things about POFQ. we will be honeymooning there in 45 days. :)

It's good to hear good things about the resort because we will be there in 44 days!
How long was the ride to each park once the bus picked you up?

We didn't go to Epcot, so I can't tell you on the time for that park. I didn't really time the rides, but it didn't seem like it took more than 20 minutes everywhere we went. We had to go to Riverside to pick up the guests there, but honestly, that didn't seem like it took long at all. If we had to be at a certain park at a certain time, I allowed an hour total (that includes waiting on the bus to get to POFQ) and we always made it with time to spare.

Glad to hear a good review!

Great trip report! We recently returned from POR but visited POFQ also. I went back and forth between POR and POFQ when planning this trip and I think in hindsight that I would have been equally satisfied at either of them. Did you try the beignets? I loved them so much I could make myself  eating too many!

Glad you had a great trip. I'm considering POFQ for our next trip. Did you use the pool and if so, how was it? It's really the only thing I'm concerned about.

Great trip report! :thumbsup2
We're scheduled for POFQ for 4/6/08 for 6 days & now I feel like I made a great choice. :cloud9:
We too plan on getting there in the morning so we can go to a park that day. POFQ sounds so beautiful.

DH has difficulty walking far so it seems perfect as far as size goes.

Glad you had a fantastic trip! :flower:

Only 159 days to go!:cutie:

I did try the beignets...they are delicious, just a little messy. They kind of reminded me of a funnel cake. You can get 6 with a snack credit. That's a pretty good deal!

We did try the pool and really liked it. Don't let the slide fool you...it looks tame, but it is actually pretty fast. My son loved it! It is a good sized pool. We also made use of the hot tub, which we really enjoyed.

thanks Piglet- just got done booking POFQ for 3/20-3/26 for the baby's 1st birthday- have stayed at POR and liked it and wanted to try this one- looking forward to it and your report made me that much more excited

tiff---ROLL TIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yay! Thanks for the report! We just booked POFQ for 2/29 - 3/9 and we have never stayed there before so I am really excited! We just came back a couple weeks ago from our first time at CSR and I totally fell in love with it, but I knew I had to try POFQ this time around, just to see which of the two I like better! Not having to walk all over creation is VERY appealing though!

Do you have any pictures of what the room looked like?

We just got back also (stayed 10/25 thru 10/28), and I'll second Piglet'sPal's report. We also got in early (10 AM) and I was so surprised to find no lines and that our room was ready. We were in building 7, which is the furthest building out, but it's such a small resort that we didn't feel that this was too far. We didn't use the pool at all, but it looked nice.
As far as the bus service, the thing that I really liked is that even though the bus shares with PO Riverside, FQ is picked up first and we always got on an empty bus. FQ is the first dropped off too coming back from the parks. I don't know if we just had good bus karma :goodvibes this trip or what, but we never waited more than 10 minutes for a bus anywhere.
It was our first time at POFQ and we really enjoyed it!

So happy to see this thread. I just posted about whether to stay here or POR. Reading this confirms I did make a good decision. I am glad you enjoyed your stay. Thanks for the report.

No, unfortunately I didn't take any pictures of the room. But, they are very nice. I really like the double sinks. It definitely makes is alot easier to get ready when you have 3 adults in the room!

Hi Simba22! Check out this recent thread for a picture of the rooms at POFQ. I know I have seen others posted on the DIS, but I just saw this one recently. The rooms are very nice, by the way!

Okay, obviously I don't know how to do the link-thing! (I'm new to this posting) But this thread will be on page 1 or 2 if you check it out soon! If anyone can give me directions on how to show another thread, I'd appreciate it!

Hi Linda! Thanks for the info! To post a link, you have to open the thread you want to display, copy the url, and then post it into your reply. If you want to get really creative, you can then highlight the url, click on the icon of the earth up at the top of the reply form, and then paste the url in there. Then people can just click the link, rather than having to copy and paste it into their browser

we were there in september while we were getting married and loved this resort. My (new) nephew who is 5 ate a beignet and had powdered sugar all over the place including his face.. it was so cute, I wish I had my camera with me at the time.

we all LOVED the pool and went swimming at least 4 nights while we were there... (night time swimming is awesome!)... my husband rode the slide and he got stuck and went very slow so I thought because we were adults and heavier that we would all go slow... well, when I got on that slide I WHIPPED down it super fast!  I rode the slide quite a bit... it was really a lot of fun! I'd totally go back to POFQ except I want to try all the resorts out.. but if I had to go back to POFQ I'd be very happy.
