We just returned from 7 wonderful days at CSR. :thumbsup2 If you have any questions, just ask away! :upsidedow

Welcome back!! Glad you enjoyed your stay! Any pictures of the new outdoor lounge?

CSR was simply wonderful! :cool1: It was actually your info & pics, Buzz, that made us choose CSR! Thank you!! We do not have any pics of the outdoor lounge. Sorry. Do you mean the one next to where you rent the watercrafts? I know someone just posted a great pic of that-with the wonderful high back loveseats.

I just booked for next year, we've never been to this resort. (CBR, ASMO, POP) can you give me any tips? I was thinking we'd like to stay in the Casitas section or what are the best buildings? We're travelling with our two boys, 12 & 9

Details please!
Which building were you in?
How was the view?
How was the walk to the pools and main building?
How was the food and drinks?
How was mousekeeping?

We are going to be staying there for the first time in about two months and I want to know everthing. Thanks!:thumbsup2

Do you think it would be worth paying for a preferred room in order to be closer to Pepper Market and main pool?

Like you, our first two trips were at the ASMO and POP. Although they were great fun, CSR was a little bit of heaven-so peaceful & quiet even though the resort was pretty well booked when we were there. We had requested Casita 3. Knowing a request is just that-only a request-I was disappointed when we were given Rancheros. Yet the manager was incredibly wonderful and got us a room in Casita 3 although other CMs checked and all verified that the Casitas were all full. The magic started with that wonderful manager! :thumbsup2 Our son is 10 and loved CSR!! He had great fun at both the main pool and the quiet pool near our building-and he still talks about all the time he spent trying to catch those little lizards in the beautiful courtyards! :scared1: :rotfl:

I'll have to keep that in mind, because that too is my only fear, the Ranchos section, out of the whole resort, that section has the least appeal.

Which building were you in? Casita 3 :thumbsup2
How was the view? We opened our door each moring to wonderful tropical trees and plants with the lagoon just a few steps away to our right. To the left? A beautiful quiet courtyard. :thumbsup2
How was the walk to the pools and main building? A quick walk to the quiet pool yet alittle bit of a hike to the main pool-yet there are golf carts zippin' by constantly to take you anywhere you want to go. We were very close to the main buildings. :thumbsup2
How was the food and drinks? In a few minutes, I will post my thoughts on the Pepper Market and The Maya Grill. For drinks? They have a nice little selection of wine. :thumbsup2
How was mousekeeping? We returned to the resort at all different times of the day and there was only one day our room was not perfectly cleaned when we retuned.:thumbsup2

That is a tough question. Being close to the main building was a definite plus. Yet we were able to be close without paying the extra for a preferred room.

How was the food and drinks?

PEPPER MARKET:
The “system” at The PM is easy. A host/hostess seats you and each person is given a “ticket” and a menu. Your server will then bring you your choice of drinks. When ready, you go to the various open-air stations and order what you like. The card is then stamped and you receive your food. Drink refills are brought to you and the tables are cleared for you. At the checkout, you simply hand them the card(s) and pay (or present your card if on the dining plan) 10% is automatically added (included if on the DP) unless you get your food “to go.”
:cool1:
I really enjoyed the atmosphere and food although the “mood” of many of the employees put a bit of a damper on things time & time again. And we were certainly not the only guests who noticed-it was a complaint among many. :confused3 And check-out seemed to take longer than our meal several times. Yet a good experience none-the-less. :thumbsup2

Wow thank you for answering these questions...we are staying there in december and I am very excited.

One question I thought of is how do the refillable mugs work? If you need to be seated it seems not as open as other mods/values. Can you just walk into the pepper market and refill the mug? TIA!:goodvibes

If I answer your question, you must promise to take me with you to CSR in December. Deal? :lmao: Ok, onto the refillable mug question...You are only seated if you plan on eating in The Pepper Market. Otherwise, you can just stroll in and refill your mugs at the beverage station. Ummm, can I still go with you in December? :rolleyes1

I am having a great time answering all of your questions-keep 'em coming! :cool1: One thing I wanted to mention was our experience with Disney Magical Express and Coronado Springs...After checking into to the resort, we leisurely strolled to our room only stopping for a moment to make a quick call home to say that we had arrived. When we opened the door to our room, what did we see? Our luggage had arrived before us! How cool is that??!! :cool1:

Do they have any bathrooms at the quiet pools? Where is the laundry room? Thanks, Linda

Not sure about the bathrooms at the quiet pools, yet I know there was a fitness center right next to the quiet pool between casita 3 and 4 and so I am sure ytou would be allowed to use their facilities. Although I did not see the laundry room itself, the sign near our room for the laundry pointed to the quiet pool area that was very close by. Sorry, wish I could have been more help! :upsidedow

I thought a preferred room at CSR was a water view room and that could mean anywhere in the resort overlooking water, not closer to the main building or the pools?
