Just returned... any Q's?

Hi,

I hope you enjoyed your trip. My wife and I will be going in June and are wondering about the dining options in-park, downtown disney, disney hotels and elsewhere. What did you enjoy and what did you dislike? Thanks in advance.

Dining:
DD- nice, but expensive and sometimes more unique than most places.
DLP- Many counter service and buffeterias (buffet/cafeteria). Sit down places that I would reccomend include Blue Bayou in New Orleans Square and the restaurant in the middle of Main Street on the left side, can't recall the name right now.
DCA- Less sit-downs. Golden Vineyard looks ok, but I never tried it. Good Chinese/Asian food at Lucky Fortune Cookie Co. in Wharf area.
Grand Californian- Storteller Cafe is nice (near pool), but you may be interested in Napa Rose, which is kinda like a steakhouse. Fast food place here, too.
DL Hotel- I've only eaten at Goofy's Kitchen. Good for kids, characters and all.
Paradise Pier Hotel- Never eaten there.... i dont know.

I did not like Splash Mtn as much as WDW's version and from what I hear Pooh is a waste of time.

I DID like "Believe" the fieworks at DLP, also be sure to see Disney's Electrical Parade in DCA. Good rides in DCA include California Screamin', Soarin' Over California, and Grizzly River Rapids. Good rides in DLP include Indiana Jones and Matterhorn.

You can also check out my trip report. Have fun!

Is Mr. Toad's Wild Ride still there???

I've lost track of the latest on Matterhorn....
so much discussion about its' refurbishment. It IS open now, right?
(It hasn't been on the refurb. schedule)
Thanks

mr toad is still open and as fun as ever.

Matterhorn IS open. Although it was my first ride on it, I understand that it is noticabley (sp?) different than what it was before.

I went to both parks on Monday. I think Soarin over California may be one of my favorite Disney attractions of all.

It was so great to be able to easily pop over to Downtown Disney to escape park food.
