We stayed at POFQ for 6 nights - Jan 31st - Feb 6th.

Our bands worked great! So easy to purchase things by just tapping the band.
All our fastpasses worked great. It was super easy and quick to change the fast passes.

My only beef is the tiers at EP and HS. It was fine as the crowds were low and we got there early so just rode the headliners then.

Crowds were super low!!! The beginning of February is a great time to go.

Thanks for the input, both the good and bad. Looking at a late fall or early winter trip. Will be our first trip since the bands and fp+ were put into place. Looking for honest input on the matter. Thanks.

Glad your trip sounds like it went well.

Good to read, glad you have a great trip.

We're going for 3 weeks in August,so planning early starts for first 2 weeks, then more chilled week 3.:cool1:

Good to hear another happy trip story, I stayed at POFQ in December and can't wait to go back.

I think people have made to big a deal out of FP+, in the big picture it's a very small part of a Disney vacation. 3 in one park is limiting (especially with tiering) but not the end of the world others have made it out to be.

So glad to see others who went the same time as we did, having such great trips!

You are 100% correct about the crowds being completely manageable. We aren't "ride till you drop" types (especially since we had some older people in our touring group this trip), but I think our final total was 55 rides ridden, well over 25 characters met, and got to see Wishes 3x and the MSEP 2x each.

It really was a great time to be there. We were at POR and, I don't know if it's because we were all commiserating about our weather back home together, or not, but we met so many great people on the buses and in our resort. It really had the feel of one of my "old time" Disney trips with conversations and smiling faces throughout the trip.

The tier thing I could see being troublesome for some, but since we had 2 ADR's in Epcot we were able to schedule TT one day and Soarin' the other.

We did 2 days of Universal after staying at the Hard Rock. As much as we loved the FOTL passes it was a PIA compared to the magic bands. It was a nuisance to have the room key, the FOTL pass, the CAA card for all the food/merchandise discounts, and the tickets and to get them in and out of the lanyard.
Tapping Mickey was so much easier. Way too easy according to our credit card....:rotfl2:.
