I just got my confirmation for our July 2010 10-night trip to BWV! :yay:

One question though...I made requests for our villa on our reservation. One was top floor, and the other was to be across from the bus stop (standard view 1-BR). The only request written on the confirmation letter is the top floor request. Everything else is correct. Should I call them?

My confirmation for our March trip to AKV only listed that we booked a 2BR dedicated savannah view. Nothing about my request that I want close to the lobby, lower floor, etc. I called MS and the CM said she could see my requests in the system.

Requests not in the confirmation letter are in the computer file for the ressie. However, I am not sure exactly what you mean by "across from the bus stop" for BWV standard. The bus stop is on the BWI side and most standard BWV rooms could be considered as "across from the bus stop."

I had asked on this board about the best location to request for a 1-BR standard view at BWV, if we want to see some of the higher-up fireworks at Epcot from our window/balcony. I was told the best thing to request is top floor, across from the bus stop. I was also told the best rooms are 3123 or 4123 as these are corner rooms and bigger than the others. But I am not requesting that until check-in, as the chances of getting one of these 2 rooms are very slim (but worth a shot to ask at check-in). Did I request the right thing?

You are probably OK as about 3/4s of the standard rooms along the front of the building can see upper level fireworks of Epcot. What you might want to add to the request is that you prefer to be far from the elevators but still facing the bus stop as the farther down you get on that side from the elevators the better you can see any upper level fireworks. Correct that those corner rooms (which are the farthest standard rooms from the elevator which still face toward Epcot) are the ideal standard rooms.

Thanks for the tip! I will call at some point and add this to my reservation. We prefer to be far from elevators anyway. We know the walk is going to be a long one down the hallway (I have heard this about the distance from elevators to rooms at BWV) but that does not bother us. We've been on several cruise ships where we had to walk very far to an elevator, AND we were on the bottom deck so we needed the elevator to go 10 or 11 stories up! At BWV, we could easily take the stairs at least downstairs, even if we are on the 4th floor.
