Just received my 2005 Passporter....

I don't think that it has the MYW info...but they have the updates on their website.

Does the 2005 passporter have the new MYW prices and stuff about the dining package?

I bought the 2005 Birnbaum’s guide and it does not.

I haven't received mine yet, but I believe I read that the MYW came out after it was sent to be printed so that info isn't in there. I don't know if they've added anything to the website yet, but they often list updates to add to your book so maybe info on MYW will be there.

Ordered mine this week. Got an email that said it would be shipped in a week.

When I got home from work yesterday there were big tire tracks in the light snow that was left on my driveway. I got so excited, "UPS must have brought my passporter!!!!" I thought! :cool1: I ran to the door (yes, ran) only to find a slip from the gas company for their auto-delivery....:rolleyes2:

Well this bites!!! I'm very glad you got yours and this vent isn't against you, but I ordered mine in November and don't have it yet. What happed to filling them in the order they were received. Looks like an call to them is in order!

and received it (Deluxe refill) on Tuesday 2/22/05....too bad I returned from my trip Friday 2/18/05 LOL. The information for the MYW tickets is not in this version but the information is located on the website at passporter.com.

I'm with you. This is getting a bit ridiculous. :sad2: Several people have posted later ordering dates, than me, and have already rec'd theirs. I live in Ohio. It shouldn't take that long.

I too, do not think they are filling them in order. This is my 4th passporter- so I finally ordered the deluxe. Now, I don't know IF I want to go thru this hassle every year, for the refill.  I LOVE the book, but COME ON ALREADY!!

Good luck with your phone call. They never returned mine. I emailed, several times, and finally got a response, with someone elses name attached, talking about issues that did not even pertain to my order. SO, all of thier problems are not because of delayed delivery. They have other customer service issues as well.

Anyone who got theirs already...any substantial differences as compared to prior versions? Color maps are nice and all but wouldn't be much incentive to buy a 2005 over a 2004.

I just ordered a Passporter today. I figured that it's a "must have" for a compulsive planner like me.

For anyone who is thinking about ordering the 2005 Passporter and hasn't yet - Amazon has it listed as in stock (all editions) and usually ships in 24 hours.

Plus it is less expensive than at passporter.com

Hi,

I ordered my 2005 Passporter directly from their website on Feb 25 and it came on March 4. This is my second one. I got one last year for our trip and liked it so much I decided to get another one. Love it! :cool1:

I just ordered mine from Amazon and was coming to post the info here, but you beat me to it! :) I thought the shipping might be faster with Amazon and I only paid $15.36 for it! :teeth:

I am reading this thread and wondering if anyone thinks it is worth it to purchase a new Passporter? I have the 2003 year version. I have used the Unofficial Guide more frequently of the two, for various reasons. One of them being I remember feeling like the authors opinions were in stark contrast to mine in many areas. So, Passporter Fans, how is this years version?

And are these order problems resolved? Why has a 2005 book still not hit the shelves? :sunny:

We have the 2003, and I did go ahead and ordered the new one. Besides the new pockets, and the color maps, there is not much of a difference. A lot of the text is exactly the same. Some new pictures. We do use the pockets, and my DD uses the worksheets, and pockets for her school journal, and that is why we ordered. There is no info. on the my way plans, since they came out after the book went to print. You can download it on the website.

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad that I ordered. In fact I got the deluxe, which gives much more storage places in the binder, and more pockets for longer trips. We enjoy using it, and it is a great way to keep everything for the trip in one place.

As far as the delivery. UGGG!!! Took forever, but they seem to have things back to normal, and are getting them out faster. The updates are on the website for the current edition too. I don't know when they will be available in bookstores. You can save $$ from their website since you have the old one though.

Hope this helps. Enjoy your vacation.

I ordered mine from Amazon in January and according to the delivery tracking I'll get it tomorrow! Can't wait. Have never even seen one before, just heard about it from DISers. I know what I'll be reading tomorrow:)

I ordered mine Jan. 12 from Amazon and I got an email today saying it shipped out yesterday.

I am so confused now. I thought that the holdup was partially due to the tsunami and partially due to the addition of the new MYW info. That is what I've been waiting on. Can anyone confirm? Thanks!!! If yours doesn't have the info what is your ISBN? :)

The My Way info is not included in the 2005. You can download new pages with the info to replace the outdated pages from the website.

FYI - I ordered mine at Overstock.com and it arrived in a week. Shipping at Overstock is $1.00 for the entire month of March, although not sure if it applies to books. (I think I paid between $12.99 and $14.99 for the Passporter (got two books that day and can't remember which was which price!). The other book was the Unofficial guide 2005. I like them both, and was surprised that the Passporter had lots more info the individual resorts.... the UG had lots more on individual restaurants (my struggle right now in choosing PS places).
