Just curious if anyone else has received one these in the mail? I just got a request from "The Cast of Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort" to share my opinions and experiences with them at a survey website. And.....it states guests of the Fort Wilderness Campsites. I have gotten one after staying at the cabins a few years back but never for the campsites.

Maybe the letters folks are sending out are in fact rattling some cages.

Well, off to voice my opinions......................Why :confused3, I can't believe :scared1:, how about , please change this :worship:, this is great :thumbsup2, you got to be kidding :lmao:. Wonder if they will ever ask me again?

Rattle the cage hard Disney needs to wake up now.

Don't forget to complain about the Trails End, the rates for the sites and how many premiums they converted

I've had several over the years - never seemed to do any good. Once I got a form letter in the mail saying my concerns were going to be sent on to management. Yeah, right.

They do follow up, got a call and then a follow-up letter from the exe. offices after I expressed our displeasure in an "E" mail with several items in August. We got the survey later.

I have done a few over the years as well. They really don't give you much of a chance to give real feedback. Most of the survey is multiple choice with 5 levels of satisfaction on things they want to know about. They give you about 270 characters worth of essay style comment at the very end. (This post is 311)

You should post the web site for the survey, I'm sure there are others here who would love to fill one out, about the trails end alone.

Unfortunately, can't do that on the surveys. Each postcard has a one use "password", so once that is done, can't repeat it.

I get one of those surveys just about every time I stay at the Fort.

Does FW management know about this website? If they don't they need to. It would be interesting if FW management would schedule Chats with this group on a regular basis (quarterly perhaps) to keep touch with the customer.

In my experience, Disney doesn't really care about the campers opinions....:headache:

I have filled out several of these surveys and emailed and called about past issues on various different concerns...no changes that I have seen!:confused3

I sent an e-mail about FtW about 7 or 8 weeks ago & ended it stating that "FtW has always been the red-headed stepchild of the Disney resorts. I'm probably wasting my time sending this e-mail."

Two weeks ago I received a call from some grunt at Disney telling me that my e-mail had been referred to the proper management for further discussion. I asked the caller if I could expect any further response. Here's the reply I got-verbatim....<ahem> "Walt Disney World values the opinion of their guests and appreciates your concerns. Your message has been refered to the appropriate management for further discussion." I replied..."Uh - right. Thanks for doing your job." I hung up. Well...that was about as effective as peeing on a forest fire.

I would have, but you need a code to get the survey.

So the consensus is, this is a waste of my time????:confused3

Well, that all depends on your approach. If you expect it to actually be taken seriously by Disney and result in positive changes in FW, then yes, it most likely is a waste of your time. If, however, you are interested in the deeper psychological benefits of venting your frustrations, then it is of some use. It is, however, about as effective as writing down your problems on a piece of paper, wadding it up and throwing it out. Symbolically, you have gotten rid of your problems. Realistically, they still exist and the simple act of throwing the paper out doesn't really do anything at all.

disney could give a crap about anyone's opinions, other than shareholders.

I've been back from The Fort 10 days now. I signed on to the official WDW site and logged in to My Disney Vacation. At the bottom is a link to "Contact Us". There is a free form box that allows extended comments. I included comments concerning check in at The Fort (the CM was too busy complaining about the prior guest having the nerve to check in a day early to wait on us, the lack of a soda machine at the Meadows Trading Post for refillable cups, the lack of FW branded merchandise); areas that are not well maintained (At Hollywood Studios, the wall covering in The Great Movie Ride loading area was stained and falling down and the glass cases in the History of Walt Disney area hadn't been dusted in weeks). I received an automated response:

Thank you for writing to the Walt Disney World® Resort. This response is to assure you that we have received your message. Please do not reply to this automated e-mail.

Your loyalty to the Disney Brand is very important to us, and we appreciate the opportunity to assist you. Our goal is to respond to our Guests within 10 business days. However, at times it is necessary to direct emails to an alternate area which may require additional time.
Please be assured, your comments will be addressed by the appropriate team as soon as possible.

Sincerely,

Guest Communication Services
Walt Disney World Resort

It will be interesting to see what type of response I receive. I love visiting WDW and it has to be difficult maintaining the high quality that they are known for. Some will probably point to the economy (someone want to throw in Global Warming, also? :)).
