We were supposed to go in September, but I can't take this snow! Heading down for three nights at POR. Crowd levels look low....3-4. Not buying park tickets until we get there as we are non-revving and I don't want to take the chance of not making it. I'm guessing Mine Train should be our first stop of the day? Is it worth the "run"? Kids are 5 and 6.

Also, do we go to MK on 2/25 for the lower crowds or 2/26 for the EMH? I'm not sure I want to rush to make it there for 8am.

at 5&6 emh might be alot for them ny son is 5 we did rope drop snd stayed for emh and he fell asleep at dinner durig the castle lighting... i would go for low crowds & ropedrop, his fav ride was mine train i cant imagine not doing it now

Are you getting park hoppers? If so, go for EMH. If not, avoid EMH like the plague.

It's morning EMH, but it's so early. I'm thinking we do MK Wednesday, avoiding EMH'ers. And Epcot on Thursday. My kids LOVE Epcot.

If you don't get there at RD, regardless of opening time...........7DMT could be minimum 60min wait probably a bit longer. If you do RD..........it all depends......so much between the enterace and the 7DMT...........hopefully you can keep the kids eye on the prize so to speak :hyper2: You are better off hitting that first thing.....especially if it's a "must-do" for you.........otherwise the lines could make you wary :rolleyes2 If you get that out of the way first.............should be much easier day (on a 3 or 4 crowd day) especially with the kids...............Dumbo and the like rides are close by so........
Have a great time!!!!

Doug :goofy:

dkrauss...I was sending you a PM as you posted! I can keep them focused. Last visit I got them straight back to Splash without issue. I'm thinking 7MDT first thing then get Fantasyland out of the way. It gets so crowded with strollers. Hopefully I can snag a FP for Splash or Thunder.

Love how you planned a last minute trip, thats awesome! :-)

Since your kids are so young, I would think of doing RD. You can also head right over to 7DMT. I LOVE that ride, the theming is great and its not too crazy, but tons of fun! I would also suggest catching to Festival of Fantasy Parade, it is such a nice parade and also a lot of fun! Like PP said if you get there early, you will be able to get so much accomplished in such a short period of time. You could also leave for a break in the middle of the day, head back to POR, rest, and then go back for MSEP and Wishes! :)

We always do rope drop. My kids are fairly early risers. And no mid-day breaks. They won't rest and if we do the pool, I'll never get them out. We just go hard until dinner and then leave for the resort by 7pm and have them in bed by 830pm.

That works too! Ia m the same way. Everyone does Disney differently. I feel if you stay at the park you can get everything you want accomplished, plus more!

Enjoy your trip!!
