Just out of curiosity...

If you are an AP holder, how far from the park do you live? And, how often do you go to DL? I'm just curious and nosy. I wonder who has the combination of living farthest and visiting most? Obviously, it's easier to go all the time if you live in So Cal, but I'm curious if there are people in Portland, Seattle, or further that go all the time. No real point to the question other than I wish I could go enough to justify an AP!

I live in No California...bay area....we are a little over 6 hours away if there is absolutely no traffic and only stopping for bathroom breaks..l,with traffic...could be as much as 8

Whoops it sent too fast...anyway...we got the APs in Sept...went the, are going for a quick weekend (two day) trip next week, going in February for a few days, maybe going in April and then once in the summer.

We usually go only once a year...but since we have been waiting for Carsland we decided this would be a great year for APs (no other vacations except visiting family in Virginia though....)

That's awesome! I would totally get APs if we lived in the Bay Area. 6 hours doesn't seem like too bad of a drive!

I live about 65 miles away (Santa Clarita) and try to go every other weekend for about 4-5 hours (rope drop til 1:00 ish):cool1:

We live in UK so definitely not close however it was worth getting AP as we've got 2 trips out of it.
We went for 5 days last December and going slightly earlier this December for 9 days.

I live in the Portland, OR area.
With my trip in late January, I'm considering an upgrade to an annual pass. My plan is to go Halloween time and again at Christmas or right after the first of the year 2014. That would be three trips on one pass.

Before I do this I have to figure out a travel buddy for the last two trips.

we live 10 miles away - got passes in April 2012 and have visited 20 times so far (not bragging at all) :-))

My Mom and I are from Canada (Calgary, AB). My Mom's had an annual pass for quite a few years now, and usually goes three times a year. I got my first annual pass this October and will hopefully make it there three times as well! You just can't beat a Disney vacation :)

550 miles away. 5 trips on the last AP.

There will be a 6 month break before I get a new one in January, and I have 5 trips planned for 2013 with that AP.

We live 25 miles north of DLR and go at least every other weekend, sometimes weekly. More often if there is a special event going on, or pins I MUST have. :rolleyes1 We are usually there from about 4 pm to close to closing.

We're activating our first APs next week. We live in the Bay Area. Already have another trip planned in February. We'll probably go in May, sometime over the summer, Halloween and of course, the holidays before it expires. :-)

We live in the Chicago suburbs, not sure how many miles away maybe around 2000? Have Premium Passes and enter the parks between 18 and 21 days a year.

Lol! With people in the UK and Chicago having APs, this thread is making it seem like it's completely reasonable for us to get APs, being as though we are *only* in Oregon!

We are in Houston, Texas. We have Premier Passports and should get 5 trips in this year (3 to DL and 2 to WDW.) We are about 1500 miles from DL and 1000 miles from WDW.

I'm from Canada too (Edmonton,AB), and I've got 3 trips out of my Deluxe AP this year, 20 days total. With the discounts & ease of use, I'd definitely recommend it, as I felt I got my money's worth by the middle of the second trip! As long as you don't plan on going during crazy busy blockout times, I think the Deluxe is perfect for us distant Disney fans.

I'll use the lyrics to "Route 66" to estimate my distance as "More than two thousand miles all the way"!

Another AP from Chicago checking in! We don't have them every year, but when we do we try to make it worth it! We're making two trips on them, each trip being a bit over a week.

We live in Olympia Washington. We typically go to Disneyland once each year on 4 day park hoppers. We have annual passes this year because we're going twice in a year (October and August). It makes sense for us to upgrade if we'll be in the parks more than 8 days a year, especially with the 10% discount when shopping and dining! We don't go in the parks on weekends or holidays, so a deluxe pass is all we need.

We live in Sydney, Australia and my husband and I both have AP's - we got them for our trip in September/October this year because we stayed for 2 weeks and with the hotel, food and merchandise discounts it was worth our while to get AP's. Unfortunately we won't be making any return trips within the year.
