I just purchased a fan from onestepahead.com for my baby stroller. It attaches right to it and is supposed to be safe for little fingers. It only cost me 12.95 plus about 5 dollars shipping. I think this will be a life saver when we go in August. I also got the Kiddopotamus sun shade with the uv protection, It is an attachment for the regular cannopy to keep more sun away. I am trying to help baby stay cool and comfy. Any other ideas?

Cool.,. i was thinking about getting both of those for our trip in August. Let us know what you think whe it arrives...

GET THAT FAN!! It is a must have! (last year somebody stole one of ours :sad2: ) But they were lifesavers kept baby cool in super high heat in July! But they burn throught the batteries. Like 4 a day! So if you can do rechargable this is the item to use it on!

I bought 2 of those fans last year. One for the stroller tray for DD and one for the stroller pusher :thumbsup2 ). They were OK, but kept falling off or we had to keep taking it off everytime my DD wanted to get out. I didn't think they put out that much air. I have used a much smaller clip on fan (with foam blades-you can direct where the fan goes) that was only $5 and I could clip it on the side metal bar of the stroller and I thought it put out more air faster. I bought a 3 of those this year. 2 for DD's stroller and one to clip to the front strap on my backpack and aimed at my face. :)

Another tip for a cooler child is to take a frozen ice pack and wrap in a dish towel and put it behind the pad in the stroller.

The fan from OneStepAhead was great. We used it all the time on our last trip and it's definitely coming with us on our trip this summer. :)

Thanks for the tip, where did you buy the other fans for 5 dollars. I have been looking for the fans to clip on but have only found the one. And my DS will be 20 months then and he loves putting his fingers in the blades, which makes the fan stop, i would still like to check it out though.
Thanks

I had both of those too... I love that sunshade cover!

I bought 2 for my double stroller last fall. They were great! My suggestions are bring a lot of batteries, b/c they suck them up fast and make sure you have a small screw driver to open the battery area.

If you live near a Discovery Channel store. They have the foam fans for 7.95. I plan on buying two or three for my son's stroller. Anyone with the fan from One Step Ahead, know if it will clip onto the side of an unbrella stroller?

Yes it will clip there BUT.... it does fall off easily- so if you have an active child you may be spending a lot of time picking it up. You could clip it onto the shade of the Umbrella stroller if it has one- but the arm is not super long- so sideways works but not ideal.

That looks like the one Discovery Channel was selling. I looked online and couldn't find the fan on their website.

We just got back yesterday and it was HOT!!! I carried a water spray mist bottle and would spray my dd with it all the time. She is 2.5 and just loved this! She loved spraying her feet and legs. It was so refreshing and I would refill it when we had a bathroom break. I also took small washcloths and wet them as well. I would put it on her neck when she napped in the stroller just to keep her cool. We also had a large sunshade which worked quite well.

Thank for the tips, i am going to check out the discovery store near me to see if they have it before i order it online. I just dont want to pay 6 dollars shipping for a 5 dollar product.
