Just ordered me one of those neat little pancake lenses

Zuiko 25mm f/2.8 "Pancake" Lens

I've been eyeballing them for use with my Oly E-510 and couldn't resist today when I found one very nicely priced at Dell, who was offering a 10% sale price, allowed me to use my AAA discount as well, and gave me free shipping.

These were the sample images that helped me decide. Looking forward to trying it out.

sounds like you got a good deal. These pancake lens have been very good in the past. I used to have the Zeiss 45mm 2.8 and it was amazing. You get great depth-of-field with them.

I looked at the sample pictures, but I don't get it. What does a pancake lense do? Probably just my untrained eye..

Well, it's a prime lens. And this one's especially compact and light.
