I wish Disney would have a place on their website that gives an hourly update on attendance at each park.

Last night we went to Epcot for the evening and the place was really hopping. We ended up just walking around the entire park - ducking and dodging through people - and left.

At one point I saw this guy I thought I recognized zooming in the opposite direction on an ECV, and by the time I realized who it was, he had been swallowed up by the crowd. (maybe 15 seconds later) It was none other than Rick Kelley!! Sorry I didn't realize it sooner. I would have given him a BIG hug - cause I luvs my Rick Kelley! I didn't spot Carol, either. Now, THAT's too crowded!

BTW - David Cassidy's show was just "okay" - and maybe I was in the wrong frame of mind - but it looked and sounded like just another old guy trying to recapture his 18 year old self. You know...the old..."When I was...."

yeah, that would be sweet. then you could decide where to go and they might have a better turn out on a night that is slower at a park. debbie, you need to tell them about this great idea. :)

That really would be nice but you can bet your Mickey ears the site would only have 2 messages:
It's a great time to go.
Temporally closed because of crowds, but come anyway maybe we can squeeze you in.

I can just picture Deb standing in the crowd to catch a glimpse of David Cassidy, screaming at the top of her lungs like a school girl, clutching a 40 year old picture of him with his tight pants, unbuttoned shirt and big hair, fainting when he sang "I Think I Love You." Then the look of disappointment when she sees some senior citizen limping on stage from his last hip replacement, wheezing out a song from the 70's.

Jim, I expected your response to be that you would put a word in to Bobby for Deb. I'm a little disappointed.

Bobby refuses to deal with issues that involve former teen idols and their usedtabe teenie bopper followers.

I had better taste in music when I was a kid. Never thought Cassidy was anything other than a sort of "girly guy". We just passed the theatre & stopped for a moment to listen. Friends who have seen Cassidy in Vegas said he put on a terrific show. I didn't find him all that terrific.

I was into Steppenwolf, Blood Rock, Jethro Tull, The Who, Pink Floyd, Beatles, C.S.N & Y, everybody's favorite - The Grateful Dead ....all the truly great rock legends.

I still wish they'd post a live count on park attendance.

:rotfl: Thats some funny stuff!!!!

Its a shame that DCassidy is mainly remembered for the Partridge Family and "I Think I Love You".....I hate to admit it...but he actually had some really good songs, and NONE OF THE GOOD ONES were hits!!! Being remembered for such bubblegum pop HAS to be as embarrassing as having been one of the Monkees!!! I think Id have rather been Danny Bonaduce!!!:sad2:

I heard Disney is working on resurrecting Jerry Garcia for a Dead reunion next year. Walt has promised to come out of cryogenic hiding to emcee the event.

I'd pay good money to see ol' Jerry!! Wait! I DID pay good money to see Jerry - before he was gratefully dead.

OMG.... then you must have seen me and Bob... about three or four years ago, when the Grass Roots were in Epcot during Flower and Garden Festival.

KID YOU NOT...lead singer limped out on stage with a cane..was recovering from a hip replacement. :lmao: Isn't it funny though how WE looked exactly like we did some 35 years earlier. :rolleyes1 (Okay...so we took some Celebrex so we'd be able make it around World Showcase that day!)
I gotta say that they did sound pretty damn good, and we enjoyed it. (we may or may not have had too much wine by that time, I don't recall!)

Hey...I liked the Monkeys! I remember being in the 5th grade dancing in the gym to "I'm A Believer"! (my husband liked them too..and he was a big shot high schooler:cool2: at that time..so..THERE! :snooty:

My baby sitter saw them LIVE at Shea Stadium (home to the NY METS)..I remember her showing me pictures of them,(I couldn't really make anything out ..but she swore it was them!) and I was soooo jealous that she was old enough to go!

I am old...:headache:

I was in college when that song came out. I was not impressed. Didin't go well with what I was smoking at the time.

34 years past, one of the best concerts I ever saw was Edgar Winters- White Trash,,the show was NOTHING short of FRIGGN GREAT !! So you can imagine my excitement to get to see him at Epcot last year :thumbsup2 For 30 years I've told Denise about that concert,,then the night came we got to see him,,this old albino came out on stage with a buncha young guys,,he kept time to the music stomp'n his foot (never hit a beat with the foot stomp'n:rotfl2:)
But I gotta say,,the music was GOOD :thumbsup2

What can I say :confused3..I was 10, and easily impressed I guess.

I saw Mickey of the Monkees a couple of years ago at the Epcot Flower & Garden festival. Did a good job on the songs , made a few jokes about his old age. After the show I saw a younger women that could probably only be his daughter. She looked like a female younger version of himself.
