Hi everyone,

We just got off the Wonder yesterday and wanted to share a few thoughts.

We were on the 5 night Western cruise that stopped in Cozumel and CC.

In Cozumel we did the Salsa & Salsa excursion -- great for adults but my girls got pretty bored. They are ages 5 & 7.

We did the Extreme package at CC which included the Stingray interaction. It was worth it to experience the sting rays in a calm environment! My girls had a great time with the sting rays. That also included bike, floats, and snorkel gear. We didn't snorkel but used the bikes and floats.

We had wonderful servers, Vishal & Gerda, and a great stateroom host, Garry. Salvatore in Palo was also excellent and Chef Nicholas came out to talk to us about my DH's gluten intolerance. He prepared a few dishes especially for my DH.

My only negative comments would be first about the spa & pools.

The spa attendants were either understaffed or very poorly trained. The locker room and rainforest room were not well attended to (lack of robes and slippers on several days, significant wear and tear in the rainforest room).

My almost 8 year old daughter described the Family Pool as "terrifying". Ok, she can be a drama queen, but it was nuts this past week. Yes, we know the pools get crowded, but the Family pool had so many adults and teens in it that it would have been very easy for one of them to accidentally push a smaller child underwater and not realize it. I am a former lifeguard, so DH & I always are in the pool with the kids or sit on the side of the pool.

Overall, it was a great cruise! We had a Wonder-ful time and would consider cruising on the Wonder again, but probably only after her major dry dock in 2014.

I'm so happy I came across your post! We will be on the same cruise in February. We'll be on deck 7, (7632). We haven't been on Wonder since our 15 yrd old as 5...lol

We're thinking of doing the Salsa and Salsa...

I'm taking notes, please let me know of anything else you can remember...

Thank you!

We were in 7592 and I love that location. Easy to use the stairs to get up to the pools, BBB & drink station. And the laundry is right there if you need it.

Salsa & Salsa was fun! My girls helped make the salsas and drinks, but after that they wanted to swim. There were two teenaged girls there with their parents and they looked like they were having a great time.

Every CM was super friendly & helpful. You'll have a great time.

I'll be on the Wonder soon, and have a question. I was on the Wonder many years ago and WiFi was just available in certain areas. I know on the new ships WiFi is available almost everywhere. Is WiFi more readily available now on the Wonder, or do you have to go to the WiFi hotspot areas to get it?

My DH got the wifi package to check in with work. It was very slow in our cabin, but better once he went up to Decks 9 & 10 (in the early mornings).

I was on the Wonder on the March 1st cruise. Did the same itinenary as you! I was by myself! Was treated like a princess by all crew members! They took care of me. Had great dinner table pals. In fact I liked it so much that I booked a 7 night cruise on the Fantasy next year!

Only glitch : Since it was my first cruise I did not know about forward, aft and mid.... my room was 2021... and it was pretty rocky at night.... :)

All in all a great trip for my first one by myself :tink:

We are doing the Grand Cayman-Cozumel on 4/22. Was Ariel on the ship? Were their any rare characters?

Ariel was there during the Princess gatherings. We had the White Rabbit on the ship because it was Easter. No one rare other than him. The Fab Five are there, Stitch, we saw Belle, Tiana, Ariel, Snow White, and Cinderella. The Golden Mickeys show had a bunch of characters in it, and there is Toy Story the Musical which had all the favorites from the first movie. Hook, Smee, Capt. Jack and Chip & Dale are all cruise regulars too.

There's a hotline (PALS? I think it's called) that you can call and find out which characters are appearing that day. And it will be listed in the daily Navigator and on a screen in the lobby by the Guest Services desk.

Have a great cruise!

We'll be on the ship 3 weeks from today - I can't even believe it!

Were there a lot of opportunities to see Princesses / characters?

Does Belle wear her newly designed dress?

Didn't see her up close--sorry! It was def yellow!

Yes, there were plenty if opportunities to see characters. Just get to the designated spot a little early so you won't get stuck in line. There were two princess gatherings I believe on our cruise. We didn't wait to see them this time.

Hope that helps!

There were many opportunities to meet the characters. Just get in line early!
