Just off the Fantasy with a 1 year old

just off the ship this morning. We had a great cruise but it was much different than our previous cruises with our little one.

I know I had a bunch of questions about cruising with a baby/newly minted toddler so I'd love to answer whatever questions I can for anyone else!

Hi!! I just searched "fantasy cruise toddler" and your thread popped up.
My husband, myself, and our boy/girl twins, who will have just turned two years old, will be cruising on 9/9/17 to the EC. This will be our first cruise ever.
My questions are:
Did you take your little to the nursery at all? If you did, when and how was it? Did you book in advance? Do you remember the charge for it?
What was your toddlers favorite thing on the cruise?
What was your favorite thing to do with your toddler?
Did you do any shore excursions? If so, which ones? If not, what did you do instead? I'm debating on if we should do our own thing or choose the age appropriate excursions that Disney offers.
I have a ton more questions but don't want to bombard you.
