Movies: Star Wars, Jungle Book, Bridge or Spies, Zootopia, a few others...

Dinner: easy Palo, always is , all rotations were good, nothing was head and shoulders better than the other

Did our own on Tortola, Patouche is the charter, we went to Cooper Island and Baths, highly recommended

Rent car on St Thomas went to Linquist beach

Did you charter the whole boat with Patouche or go on a group tour? I am considering them for our Tortola day. I look forward to your review.

We are sailing in a few weeks and also booke patouche for Tortola. My question is, who and where did you meet for the charter? I was told at the port but that's not specific enough for me :) Tia!:worship:

Can't miss the shuttle/taxi. Just ask the person off the dock where is the taxis. Basically straight ahead off the dock.

Review of Fantasy 7 night to Tortola, St. Thomas, Castaway.....

Sailing April 9th - 16th

Got to port later than usual, we were staying at Boardwalk for 2 nights. No reason to get there early didn't want an upgrade and since this was our 1st platinum cruise, could check in anytime.
Check in is a breeze for platinum/concierge guest, walked on about 12:30

Had stateroom 9072, think this was 3rd time we had that on either Dream or Fantasy, very easy to find room : ) last 5a mid ship....
Room was perfect except bathroom smelt a little like sewage, they sprayed or did something to fix it.

1st 2 days at sea make the trip start slowly and relaxing....

Tortola - did the Patouche tour of Cooper Island and Baths. Highly recommended, but, you have to be a decent swimmer at Baths, you get dropped off on water and have to swim to shore.
St. Thomas - rented a car and drove to Linquivst Beach. Have been there before, but it has been upgraded with a bathroom and showers, and a few more people show up now. (if you have seen the DirectTV commercial w the talking horse, this is where they filmed it)
Castaway - 1st time in a cabana, we had #20. It was pretty awesome with a few minor issues.... the area kind of has a tidal pool which is great for young kids... Only issue is there is quite a bit of seaweed, wish Disney could do something about that. My only complaint is that you cant get to the TRUE snorkel area without going around, they wont let you swim under the rope. I asked the life guard what my options were and she said I could take the cabana taxi (yeah right talk about snobby) so no I didn't make it to the true snorkel area.

Observations:

Highlights: Palo - did brunch and 2 dinners, 1 wife alone, 2nd time w 2 couples our friends. Marcello is great, Chefs Alejandro and head chef Silvio went out of their way and prepared something special for our 3 couples, REALLY awesome and beyond unexpected!

Seeing Jungle Book at 12:01am, pretty cool to see premier, although most of us thought it was gonna be better.

Had great server/asst - assistant Luis from Spain is now going to Palo...

Issues: Only major complaint we had was the spa/fitness center. Mens room now doesn't provide shaving crème, qtips, or most of the time robes. My wife had same issue w Q-tips but they did stock them in the ladies room later. I asked about shaving crème 1st day we could work out, answer was they ran out! This was day 1 pirate:! I asked for a robe the 2nd day when I arrived and it seemed like I was annoying the staff, they did give me one but told me they are in the lockers, and I responded that they weren't yesterday, I checked when I got in the room and no lockers did.

Other than the gym no issues, perfect weather, and a great cruise!

So on Patouche, how big was your group? How was the snorkeling? We are taking a 3 and 5 year old, do you think they will enjoy it?

If the ocean was like ours it might be tough to get then on site at Baths

I was on the same sailing and had a great time. The only downside was getting on to Castaway a couple of hours late (11:20 all ashore time). Even though they stayed a little later (all aboard time of 6:00pm) we needed to be on earlier for our 5:45 dinner. Cruise Director was Darren and the Captain was Commodore Tom (which the kids loved getting to meet). With Palo aside (the Rack of Lamb was incredible) my favorite menu of the regular rotation was 1st night of Enchanted Garden. The Sea Bass/Risotto was pretty incredible. The menu on Princess night was our least favorite but that is the night we did Palo dinner so we didn't mind. Magic Dave is always great and the ventriloquist (Lynn Trefzger) was hysterical. We saw all 3 of her shows (including the adult one) and I haven't laughed that hard in a long time.

Thanks. I'm a decent swimmer so I'll just drag them in. I think we may be pushing them a little hard but who knows when we'll get another chance to go to the baths.

What transportation did you use from the Boardwalk to the port? We are staying at the Boardwalk and then Concierge on the Fantasy so I was thinking we do not need to get there right when the port opens.
