Disneyland is my 'Happy Place', I went for the first time at 17 and have been over 50 times since. I can usually never get enough but this time is different. I have 6 nights planned at the Candy Cane the end of July. I'm not looking forward to the crowds, heat, etc but one of the things that really has me down is I'm currently recovering from shoulder replacement surgery due to a bad fall.
I know I won't be able to ride all the attractions and I think I'm ok with this since I've been on them all many times. My DD13 is taking a friend who has never been out of Colorado so that's exciting because I love seeing Disney through the eyes of someone new. We have a day planned in Hollywood because the girls think they are stars
and a day at the beach so my DD's friend can see the Ocean. I love the hotel we are staying at and I've planned a night in Vegas (we are driving) on the way there because the girls want to visit the Criss Angel store and a night in a KOA cabin in Utah on the way back so that should be fun.
So why can't I get into this trip??
I am getting better but it's been a long road. I need the time away so not to be excited about visiting my favorite place is just not like me.
I still have over 3 weeks so I'm hoping as we get closer things will change and I'm not sure why I posted this other than just to get it out of my system.
Has anyone else ever felt this way?

…it doesn’t sound like you are fully recovered from your surgery…that can take so much out of you…The ‘happy place’ feeling for your trip will come back…Think of all the wonderful sights and sounds…being with your wonderful daughter (I bet she is a star!) I’m sure you are a pro at Disney(ing) taking time just to relax…and enjoy…here’s some pixie dust just for you…

!!! But anyways maybe you should book a spa treatment and get a good massage on your shoulder! Maybe you should try a couple of different activities... Have you dome the tours like "Walk in Walts Footsteps"? Have you found all the hidden mickeys? Since you can't do all the rides maybe you should get yourself a really good camera (Nikon D300
By then I was not feeling well from head-to-toe. The crowds at DL didn't sound like too much fun.
Let JDS be your coach, she seems to have the answers kind of like a Disney Yoda! (Your awesome Jade
