We built our house 7 years ago and bought what we thought were good appliances. KitchenAid Architect series dishwasher, double 36" convection ovens, and 5 burner gas cooktop. In the interim, we've made 8 service calls on the dishwasher (which is currently making a horrid noise), and two on the ovens. Only appliance we haven't had issues with is the cooktop. The oven fan began rattling within just a couple of years, and the dishwasher had been a boat anchor since day one. Too many problems and replaced parts to even list. That sucker cost $1000 seven years ago, so I thought I was getting something that would last longer than 15 minutes 
. Between the three appliances, we paid $5500. We got robbed, haha!
