Just had to vent about my luck here lately
I paid off my car about 2 months ago, 3 days later, I had to put a starter in it (it was out of commission for about a week in this process)..then it's been one thing after another. Money is really tight, and this is an old 90 car, so it' hasn't been easy. Well, Friday was my bday, and my car is 'gone' now.. so yesterday hubby got ALL of his money and got me a 1997 Ford Aspire. We test drove it...drove great, and perfect on gas for my 75 mile commute while training for my new job (that I've had all of 2 weeks). Well, up at 6 this AM, get the kids to school at 7:15 and 7:30 respectively, and they just think my new little car is soo cute...and it's growing on me.
Ok..into downtown Atlanta traffic, a little stop n go, and my car isn't wanting to go much after the 'stopping'. Finally, nothing. Motor is running, car isn't driving. I mash the gas, nothing..and some little 'DING" bell is ringing..tellin me somethin is wrong..who knows what (the guy who sold it to me knows what). Well, now the hazards don't work, and I'm stalled on the 75/85 connector. A HERO truck pushes me into a median and they call a tow truck. 44 miles back to my driveway, and $138 tow bill. (That will bounce some other bill that hasn't cleared yet because now I"m overdrawn and don't get paid for 2 weeks). So, called the boss, and left a message with the jerk who sold this lemon to a mom and her 2 kids as 'dependable'. He, of course, hasn't called back. I was crying uncontrollably on the message, but I"m sure he gets the picture!
So, now I have 2 broke down cars in my driveway, and have to get someone else to go get our kids and bring them to me. - Did I mention hubby's job is having layoffs, so he CAN"T leave early, and his grandmother died yesterday
Anyways, was told it was the transmission. I'm looking up Lemon Laws, but it's hard to prove anything with an individual.
Just wanted to vent!!!!!
