Just made offer - what are the chances

I just called and made an offer for a DVC resale, cash sale. What are the chances of it closing and me actually snagging a studio for June 30 - July 3rd this year. Am I being over zealous in thinking this is possible?

Thank you! If everything goes thru, and if we can't close and score the June/July dates, I guess we could surprise the kids with a short fall trip.

Slightly better than 50/50 depending upon how quickly ROFR, closing, and set-up of your account go. I think if you go in not caring where you stay and then waitlisting where you do want to stay you've got a decent shot of getting something. The later days will be the problem. I closed in May, account set up early June 2 years ago and was able to cobble together 6 days BWV, 1 BLT for the first week in August...this was after having a split stay of SSR/AKV set up on the first day I was able to book. Patience and diligence.

I can be patient. It's taken us 5 years to make up our minds to purchase, and wait for the right amount of points. And if we don't get our potential home resort this summer, there's always the fall and/or next year!
