Just made it through ROFR, now looking to book

We just made it through ROFR! It only took us 2 attempts. BCV is our home resort. Now we are just waiting on closing, and getting into the DVC system!
We have a cash reservation, room only, through the regular reservation system because we've had this trip planned since the first of the year before we found our DVC. We're hoping to get to use our points to get a 2 BR at either BCV, BWV or BLT for Sept. 10-17 since we've already bought our plane tickets and travel plans are made for that time. Anybody heard about availability at that time? I've checked the availability thread, and there were no reports for 2 BR for that week, but I'm not holding my breath on that either.

Availability thread here can be useful to get bit of an idea but it is most often not an very accurate picture of what may or may not be available because not everyone is reporting there on what their experience happened to be at the time they called MS and mostly because availability changes often during each day what with member's calling to change dates or cancel reservations, etc. You might have a good chance because kids will be back to school but jmho I would also not rule out having to stay at other DVC resorts (like OKW, SSR or AKV).

I just checked for the week after your week - the 3rd week of Sept for a 2 bedroom - only SSR and OKW had availability for the whole week. You might could do a split stay and stay at one of those resorts for part of the week.

Congrats on passing ROFR and good luck on your reservation. Sounds like your almost there for having your DVC membership in place.
