Just made a ressie at Sanaa!

Well, I wasn't really planning on eating here this trip (Mother's Day weekend and a few days beyond), but a friendly CM convinced me to give it a try. She said that they had a big preview dinner there for the CMs last night. They served all the dishes family style, so she got to try everything and she said it was all really good. And, unlike Jiko, it's right on the savannah, so it has a great view. So I made a lunch reservation there for May 13th. Can't wait to try it out!

Hey, I''ll be there one day before you. I have a dinner reservation for May 12th at 6:30pm. I made the reservation for four, but my friends backed out. Still looks good to me, so I'm going solo. There are some pictures of the menu items posted somewhere here on the DIS.

It hasn't opened yet...the restaurant was previewing it for CMs last night. In fact, it's in the DVC part of AK, and they haven't opened that wing yet, so the CM told me it was a bit of an adventure to find it because they had to park at AKL and walk over since the parking lot was still blocked off. Eventually (presumably before they open to the public!) they will have bus service there and parking.

I would assume that you can use the DP w/it, but I'm not sure if it's one TS or 2 like Jiko. I didn't ask, since we will be using TiW

The way it's priced, if it is on the DDP, I am guessing it's 1TS... but you never know right?

Wow! That's a much better deal than Jiko, then! It's too bad that when we are on the DP in August we will be with some unadventurous eaters!

I have ressies for first week of June....can't wait....the menu looks GREAT to me!! I actually make some of this at home from an Indian recipe book so I can't wait to see how that stacks up!!

I showed DW the menus. She rolled her eyes, which is never a good sign. I think it was the cornish hen with turnips and cherries that did her in.

I love Indian food. And I'm guessing that if you want to try Sanaa in its original conception, you'd best hurry on over because I'll wager the menu will change pretty drastically before long. I hope I'm wrong.

My husband talked me into a reservation here on May 5th. I'm intent on doing a dining report this trip so I'll be sure to let you all know how it is. I'm a little nervous but I'm sure it will be great.

We're going in August and get to book our ressies on May 20th-which also happens to be my b-day-what a nice present...

I can't wait to try this also...what a nice compliment to Boma and Jiko...
