This is a nutty question but hubby and I are disagreeing about this. We are going with our 2 adult children, just bringing carryon luggage and I have 2 rental cars booked and need to cancel one. We have an standard SUV for noon to noon and our flights do not leave until 3:30 and (we have TSA precheck and carryon luggage) - Our son has a flight at 3:00 and he does not have precheck but will only have carryons OR should I use my other booking with is a Intermediate SUV (so smaller than standard) and for $25.00 more gives us an extra day so that we do not have to get to the airport so early. I know this is non sense to most but just looking for a what would you do?My husband says no because $25.00 isn't worth the hour or so that we are sitting there early and having a smaller SUV. I say do the longer so that getting there a noon isn't an issue. Whose side are you all on? :)

There is usually an hourly rate you pay for up to three hours before it changes to the daily rate. No Pre for your son means he needs to be in the parking garage no later than 12:45. I would keep the bigger truck and if you get charged the extra hour, not a guarantee, it should still be less than the $25 you're paying to have a smaller vehicle.

First, I'd have no problem with returning the car at Noon. At MOST, you'd be returning it at 1:30P, so you'd gain 90 minutes. So $25 for 90 minutes, BUT it's smaller.

Sorry, I think the larger SUV and return by Noon. Get something to eat at the airport or sit and people watch.

Thanks so much! Another for team husband, lol. I hate getting to airports too early, especially with the precheck but I digress. thank you for your input! :)

The clock starts running when you pick up the car. A delay with your incoming flight and the problem goes away. Grab lunch at the airport, coming or going, and the problem goes away.
THIS I did not realize! I thought that it went according to the reservation time (12:00) through Costco

I would take the noon to noon and just get there early. If you drop off the car at 11:45, it will take a while to get over to the terminal, then you can look around the stores and grab some food before your flights.
