Just looking for a friend to hang with -5/9 thru 17th

I was widowed 13 years ago and although I tried the dating scene several times I could never rap my mind around it. Left with a then 8 year old girl to raise on my own (almost 22 now with 2 kids) I made WDW one of our yearly traditions back then. It's that time again and although this year's priority is all about the 5 year old princess I will have plenty of time in the evening on my own. Anyone want to meet up any evening with this 52 year old for a new friends type thing?

To give more info...

The 15th we are doing a monorail crawl...hitting the different bars along the monorail route.

I know some Jellyrolls nights are also planned.

Hi, fellow Texan! There's a group us that are going to be there May 9th-16th. Some of us have met before (Adrian, Rich, and myself), but the rest are all new friends. We have several dinners with open seats, are going to Jelly Rolls on the 13th with another group, and at least five of us plan to meet up one night at the POFQ lounge to listen to the jazz guy. I'm doing a couple of backstage tours (Backstage Magic on Monday May 11th and Wild by Design on Thursday May 14th). Come on over and meet us, we're a pretty nice group and I know at least a few single ladies are in the group. We range in age from around 40 y/o to 60 y/o. I know Rich has some empty seats at some of his ADRs and I have at least two (no one in our group wants to join me at Sanaa or Tutto Italia, the dang cowards). We are also all going to hang out together after our Crystal Palace breakfast on the 13th. Again we are a good group and everyone is just going to come and go as they please. Take a look and see if any of the group is doing anything you might be interested in and join us.

As Aubree and JadedBeauty said there are a couple of groups going to be there in May during your dates. The group that is meeting from the 14th through the 18th will probably go to Jellyrolls on the boardwalk each night after park closings. Then there is the monorail crawl on the 15th (Friday) where we will stop at each deluxe along the monorail route for a drink in their bar. It starts at Tambu Lounge at the Polynesian at 9 p.m. You won't be able to miss us as we will be the largest group in any one of these lounges. I believe we have over 30 that have said they are going on the crawl. Then there is the group Aubree is meeting up with and they have several dinners with open seats and some meet ups. One is the May Dismeet thread the other thread is the Join us for Rich and Adrians. . .(etc). You would be welcome at both gatherings. . .and don't worry, plenty of us fall into your age "category". And we are all either widows, divorcees or just plain single folk.

Hi Kirk! Feel free to jump right in, there are a bunch of really great people on these boards, and as wild as some of us may seem, don't let it scare you. We just like to have some fun. I hope you can make it to jellyrolls or to the monorail crawl, it will be great!

Based on the information I've gather thus far, if Jellyrolls is open, there's about an 80% chance you'll find some or all of these folks there.

Definitely try to make other meets too if possible. I think the Monorail Crawl will be a blast, just to see a crowd of 30+ loading and unloading from the Monorail (por favor matengase alejados de las puertas) and wandering through the resorts looking for a bar...any bar...BEER ME!

Hey another Texan!

I just finished my final packing and will be leaving out of DFW at 7:34 in the morning. Less than 15 hours and I'll be in Orlando.

I just finished my final packing and will be leaving out of DFW at 7:34 in the morning. Less than 15 hours and I'll be in Orlando.

We'll be on the 7:15 out of IAH Bush. Everyone else is all packed up but I just started! Zoning to some Evanescence as I slowly go thru my mental check list!

Look for an early 50's Grandpa in an all greys Mickey Tee at MCO. I'll have a 22 yo daughter with 5 yo princess and 8 month prince in tow.

Thats cool, but you need to look for us as well. For myself, I am 5ish with no one but me to look after...lol That can be a tall order.

Would love the company, but there are many that will fit your description. Meet us at JR's on Wed for sure.
