Day 2 Monday
We got up early today, but not early enough to be in the Park for the start of EMH.
We headed for breakfast and were seated at a lovely table with this view:

The food was fabulous and Kev thought he had died and gone to heaven. There was everything you could want and a few things you would not expect. The range included perfect scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, jams, croissants, cereals, boiled eggs, meats, banana bread, doughnuts, cheese, sausages, and more. There was a choice of teas, coffee, orange and apple juice. I eat very little in the morning but managed a few croissants over the duration of our stay. Olivia stuck to fresh fruit and Jessica wanted to eat the little pots of Nutella with a teaspoon.
We managed to get a few photo opportunities with the characters before/after breakfast and there was no scrum or bad behaviour. We had a great interaction with Goofy who picked Olivia up off her feet and twirled her around.
Jess didn't really want to stand with the characters but she enjoyed watching. She did kiss Minnie on the nose but I didn't get a photo of that as it happened so quickly.
We headed straight for the Park and got there for about 9am. We went to Fantasyland first and then over to Buzz. It's amazing how that ride brings out your competitive streak. I hadn't realised that you could turn your 'car' around! Once I realised that, I had to go and try again. I was so proud of my 40,000 score - until Kev got nearly 80,000. I am pretty useless at these sort of things and didn't manage to improve with practise. We then went on Space Mountain and chatted to a group of teenage lads who obviously saw me as an old lady lol. They asked me if I'd enjoyed the ride when it had finished. I said I would stick to IASW in future. My head got rattled about too much on this ride and I just didn't enjoy it. Kev took Jess on Orbitron and then we went to Indiana Jones. Olivia loved Indiana Jones. I wasn't as keen as I don't like going upside down. Oh dear - I am sounding like an old lady, aren't I?
We had a a bit of a drama on BTM. Kev went on with Liv and Jess, while I waited with Emilia. The queue was quite short so I wandered down to The Lucky Nugget. When I got back, they still hadn't come off and the CM's were turning people away. To cut a long story short, I waited for an hour for them. I went to see the CM and was first told there were 'technical difficulties'. After a while security arrived and I started to get a bit worried. I explained that my children were on the ride and a CM told me that some people were being escorted off the ride because they had endangered others. It turned out that a large group of teenage boys had been harassing some young girls and had been warned about their behaviour. They had all stood up during the ride and the CM's had stopped the ride (mid-ride) and taken the other guests off. The boys had been escorted off by security.
We were freezing after this hanging around, so we all went on Phantom Manor. My favourite thing about this attraction is the walk up to it! I love all the little details. Jessica was really brave going on this ride and I was pleased we had found a ride that we could all go on. We went on twice but the second time a woman in the next car was on her mobile phone throughout the ride! Why would you bother?
We had a reservation at Walt's for 2pm. When we got there, I saw that the reservation had a note written on it in French, saying that it was imperative that we got a window table.
This was our view:

The food was very nice and the service was excellent. Our desserts were particularly nice and I can also thoroughly recommend the cauliflower soup. A word of warning to Premium voucher diners - there was no vegetarian option on this set menu! I love the ambience of Walt's and think it's a great venue and location.
We went back to the hotel for 4 again to see the characters. The hotel's location made it ideal for us with a toddler. Emilia was able to have a crawl around, get changed etc without the huge trek that would be needed to some of the other hotels. The girls nipped down for a few photo opportunities - and if you look carefully you'll see they didn't even put their shoes on - little monkeys!

There were a lot characters today but there was a bit of a scrum - not on the same scale as in the Parks but it still made me a little tense.
We went to the Studios and Jessica asked again to go on 'Nemo's Ride'. The waiting time was an hour, so we took our place in the queue. I have to say, I really enjoyed this ride. I thought it was great fun! It would be even better if they had a Fastpass machine for this attraction. I particularly liked the shells - the best 'cars' after Peter Pan in my opinion.
We went back to the hotel, and took this photo on the way. I hardly ever appear on photos as I'm always taking them, so this is a rarity:

I have to thank another Diser for my next magical moment (I think it was Hildasmuriel). I recalled someone saying that they could hear the Disney music if they opened their hotel window. I sat in a chair by the open window, in my robe and slippers, the children fast asleep and gazed out of the window, listening to soft Disney music. One of my very best moments.
