Just Keep Swimming - March 31-April 7, 2013 - Closing Thoughts (Updated 5/17)

That Oz set up looks really cool! Love the photo ops around there.
Awww Mike & Sully topiaries! My favourite characters!
I could go for some cheese nachos and churros right about now.

The Brave one last year was really amazing, too. DD enjoyed playing the games.

I love that movie. It was hard to get a photo without people in it. I can't wait for that movie to come out this summer.

I could go for some cheese nachos and churros right about now.

I really like the loaded nachos, but the kids love the cheese ones.

All caught up! With everything going on in MA in the last week, it was hard to get on the Dis and away from the non-stop news coverage! :sad2:

But, I'm back, and love your F&G pics. I really need to get there during this sometime! And now that they've added the food...well, all the better! ;)
Love your DD's face painting. It is so cute!

We haven't had the greatest stuff at Sunshine Season's...I mean, it was ok, but pretty expensive. I thought we could have had a decent table service for what we spent on lunch there last summer....but yes, the strawberry shortcake is yummy! And that cinnamon roll looked delish!

Goodness gracious the size of that cinnamon roll!!!!! That thing is monstrous! I thought the ones Main Street Bakery had were big. I guess they were medium sized.

Your son does look like he went through quite the growth spurt. I'm telling you mt Christian went from little boy to man in weeks. I still wonder who that deep voiced man is from time to time. :rotfl2:

Love DD's makeup. We have never done that. Maybe next time.

Yes I live in SC, and no, I've never tried grits. Go ahead and laugh. However the shrimp and grits in the picture looks yummy. I think I would try those. I love how they added the booths to F & G. They looked busy to me so maybe they will leave a few open all the time.

*We didn't get seeds at Oz. :scared: The kids would have liked planting those. A couple of years ago they got the Tinker Bell packets and the ditch was full of flowers. ha ha

IT IS CATCH UP TIME!

I don’t know when they brought back the view masters for the desserts, but the past two times we have been at the 50s, they don’t have them.

THE BROWNIE SUNDAE!!!!

Wishes from the top of the world lounge GAHHHH. My favorite ♥

I NEED TO GO TO F&G SO BAD. Dying over the topiaries.

Oh Wonders of Life I WANT TO GO INSIDE OF YOUUUU.

The food booths at F&G seem amazing. I want to try so much of that food. This is why we need to move to Orlando ASAP.

The room looks great! The kitty cat face on your DD is fabulous, I'm sure mine will want something just like it. :)

The Cantina looks like a good dinner place, need a CS one evening while we are there.

Can't wait to hear what's next for you guys!

I know ..... so terrible. I am glad they caught them, though.

But, I'm back, and love your F&G pics. I really need to get there during this sometime! And now that they've added the food...well, all the better! ;)

It was genius adding the food booths. It makes it so much more enjoyable.

Love your DD's face painting. It is so cute!

She just loves getting her face painted. I like for her to get it done early in the morning so she an wear it all day before she gets in the pool.

Yeah, the food we have had there has just been MEH. We prefer their breakfast stuff over anything else. Maybe we just aren't ordering the right things.

They grow up so fast. My baby !! It is sometimes really hard to take. But then other times, I find great joy in seeing them thrive and become older and more independent.

Love DD's makeup. We have never done that. Maybe next time.

Yes, she really loves to have her face painted.

Never tried grits ??? Wha ?? They aren't for everyone, but I like them. One my friend's mother makes these grits with cheese that are sooo good. The ultimate comfort food on a chilly morning.

We haven't gotten around to planting them yet, but we will. She really loves to participate in things like that and DH is really good about doing that kind of thing with her. He has been working night shift, but will be switching back to days later this week, so I imagine they will get to it in a day or two.

IT IS CATCH UP TIME!

I dont know when they brought back the view masters for the desserts, but the past two times we have been at the 50s, they dont have them.

We seemed to be the only on in our room that had one. We looked at it and passed it around to the other tables so they could see. It was fun to share with everyone.

THE BROWNIE SUNDAE!!!!

It was so good !!

Wishes from the top of the world lounge GAHHHH. My favorite e

It was cool. Just think, that will be YOU soon !!!

I NEED TO GO TO F&G SO BAD. Dying over the topiaries.

Everything was soo beautiful. We took tons of photos.

Oh Wonders of Life I WANT TO GO INSIDE OF YOUUUU.

It is pretty cool in there. They had more to look at during Food and Wine.

The food booths at F&G seem amazing. I want to try so much of that food. This is why we need to move to Orlando ASAP.

Adding the booths was genius. We really enjoyed the food options they had.

The room looks great! The kitty cat face on your DD is fabulous, I'm sure mine will want something just like it. :)

Our room was amazing. We really LOVED it at BLT !! Yes, she loves her face painting and the lady that did it did a really good job and she was sooo nice.

The Cantina looks like a good dinner place, need a CS one evening while we are there.

We like it there and they give you tons of food.

Can't wait to hear what's next for you guys!

I need to type up the next section. More coming up soon !!! Thanks for following along !!!

I love Sunshine Seasons. DH and I try to get there once a trip. I get a meal around the strawberry shortcake, my favorite.

I totally understand having to sneak a pic of the teenage boy. My DGS drove me crazy with that last August. You would have thought I asked him to swallow poison when he had to get a picture with Pooh. It was his 14th birthday and the one thing his mother asked for since he was with us.

I love that strawberry shortcake !! It is really good.

I know. Once they reach a certain age, they are just too cool for everything. Hopefully, that will change.

Day 3 Part Four

After eating at the CS in Mexico, we headed out into a crowded World Showcase to explore the countries.

We grabbed some fast passes for Maelstrom in Norway and then wandered into China to explore.

I just love these panda topiaries.

We went to see the movie in China, which I really enjoy and DD looked around in the gift shop there.

Then we moved on to Germany.

And we saw Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

I went into one of the shops to get a Mickey charm for my Pandora bracelet.

And on to Italy.

I think Lady looks so cross here & LOL

I think at this point we went back to ride Maelstrom

And then we headed back towards the best country ever !! America, of course !!

They had a Smokehouse booth set up there for the Flower and Garden.

We sampled some beer, brisket and a pork slider.

For a full dining review go HERE.

They had some Toy Story topiaries in this area.

We moved along towards Japan. This country was much anticipated by the kids who had saved up their spending money for the store there.

F & G really does look quite lovely and you're right Lady does look cross...;)

Super large cinnamon bun... glad it was good...:thumbsup2

Face painting is super cute...

You can't beat the shopping in Japan...:goodvibes

Yep, never tried the grits but my family loves them! I probably would too. They look like they'd be gritty. :rotfl2:

Japan....tell me those kids didn't want snacks from over there. That stuff is something to explore I tell you. The little dried up crabs :scared: and the "mix" with fish and everything else in the world. Looks like a Survivor/Fear Factor mix. :lmao:

I love the topiaries too! :thumbsup2 Especially the Monsters Inc and the princess ones.

I must not have seen the pavilion in China beyond the tomb warriors display thing because I didn't know there was a movie in there. I really need to pay more attention.

The smokehouse looks like that was a great option. Mmmmm good!

It smelled so good over there! We didn't get anything, because the friend that was with me doesn't eat pork, so she wanted to eat somewhere else. It sure was tempting, though!

She looks all pouty like she isn't getting her way and we all know that can mean trouble.

Super large cinnamon bun... glad it was good...:thumbsup2

Very good. Yum !!

Face painting is super cute...

She was super cute all day. Until she got in the pool and then it was gone.

You can't beat the shopping in Japan...:goodvibes

My kids love all of that Naruto and Hello Kitty stuff

Yep, never tried the grits but my family loves them! I probably would too. They look like they'd be gritty. :rotfl2:

They really aren't gritty. They are more like the consistency of mashed potatoes. I like them. You should try them.

Girl ... no. The two pickiest eaters alive ?? No. They like the anime stuff and the Hello Kitty stuff.

I love the topiaries too! :thumbsup2 Especially the Monsters Inc and the princess ones.

I love them all. The ones in France were Beauty and the Beast themed and I really liked those. I will show them in the next update.

I must not have seen the pavilion in China beyond the tomb warriors display thing because I didn't know there was a movie in there. I really need to pay more attention.

The China movie is one of those circle vision movies and it is very well done. I really enjoy it. Very beautiful.

The smokehouse looks like that was a great option. Mmmmm good!

The food there was really good. You just can't beat good ole American BBQ

It smelled so good over there! We didn't get anything, because the friend that was with me doesn't eat pork, so she wanted to eat somewhere else. It sure was tempting, though!

It did smell wonderful. We really enjoyed the food there. And all of it was a snack credit, so I t was a good value, I thought.

I didn't realize they did topiaries themed to non-Disney characters in the various countries like that (trolls, pandas).

The smokehouse.... that's about as American as it gets. No way I could pass the smell of meat being cooked to perfection there without stopping for some.

I was going to ask about the beer sampler, but maybe I should just go look at the dining review sometime... :rolleyes1
