Ok, so I've made the down payment and closing costs, signed all the docs and got my copies back in the mail. Friday I received my membership card and today got the 2010 planner. I also got the maintenance dues payment schedule in the mail so my question is this....Has the closing already happened and should I have received some kind of confirmation?

Does anyone know if any associates on my account should receive a membership card? or am I the only one who gets one since it's in my name?

When I originally spoke to Doug on the phone I informed him that I needed my DVC payment to be taken out on the 15th of the month but my dues payment schedule says it will be deducted on the first of the month. Will I be notified of when the first mortgage payment will be taken? If they screwed up and scheduled my payments to be on the first of the month how much of a pain is it to change it?

I am so happy we finally are finacially able to join DVC. We've wanted to since 2004 but it wasn't feasible til now. We are looking so forward to our 1st trip to Kadani in Dec., hoping to split the ressie with BLT and also become purple box groupies. Thanks for any answers you can provide to my questions.

You don't get the final paperwork from the closing for a while from what I recall, but you can make reservations once you have what you have from DVC.

Only members get membership cards, not associates.

And you can call Member Accounting to request a chance in your payment date.

Welcome home! What is your "home" resort?

Once you go "purple" there is NO turning back! OL is just awesome! I recommend keeping a running list on you cell of what you have/need so it is always with you.

You may also turn into a Garden Grocer fan as well! We love being able to add products for our OL, stock up on water & drinks, and still get some breakfast foods all in a click of a button. You can pre-pay your tip and have it delivered before your expected arrival. Saves alot of time!

Kidani is our "home". We learned that we can have our points divided into seperate contracts. Thus, we have contracts for both kids for future division. 160/110 (adding on 50 for equal division). We will add on a new home in the future and will do the same there as well. This was one HUGE bonus for me.

You may want to call "Doug" and ask him for help getting your reservations for Dec. Otherwise, you might be out of luck. That's a very busy time for DVC.
