Thinking of taking our in-laws to the park the day after Thanksgiving and I just wanted to know just how crazy it may be. I think I checked line apps last year and it didn't seem as busy as I expected.

Thanks!

Touring plans lists it as a 7 with a 7 at each park that day. I think a ton of people are traveling and school generally is out for the week giving time for those to travel. However some will be tired out. A 7 IMO is workable, use fastpass, see some things that never get busy or always have fast lines ie, Great moments with Lincoln, riverboat, Pirates, etc.

Some of the more popular APs are blocked out that day as well, so that affects crowd levels too.

So i will be at DLR all Thanksgiving week. 24th to 28th.

The website says that the passholders are allowed 24th to 26th and not allowed on Thanksgiving and Black Friday.

IM wondering which days will be the most crowded? The ones with passholders allowed or without??

Anyone have any experience with Thanksgiving week in the past?

Sometimes Thanksgiving day is slow with the days around it packed. From reports on the board. Imagine folks mostly eating on Thursday and then enjoying the park the next day...

I think if you're planning to go the key is to make a plan and if you want table service make a dining reservation in advance and you will be fine. The lines will be crazy for something no matter when you go, timing is everything!

I've come to Disneyland for the past few Thanksgivings but the last time it was a purely Disneyland vacation was about 4 years ago, and I stayed there from Wednesday to Sunday, At that time, I remember thinking Wednesday was the most crowded day.

If I remember correctly from last year, it was busier in the morning and got less crowded as the day went on. Make sure you have your dining plans in order well ahead of time. We walked by Storytellers Cafe on our way to DCA, and there were security guards posted there to keep the crowds (so many people!) in order. Apparently, there was a big crowd of angry, frustrated people who thought they could just walk up to eat there, and the restaurant was booked solid. There will be CS restaurants serving Thanksgiving meals in the parks, but the lines will be long there, too.

We've been on Black Friday the past 2 years in a row and will be there again this year. We haven't found the crowds to be as busy as a non-holiday weekends are! I would go that day over a Sat/Sun anytime. It's not bad.

We went Black Friday 5 years ago - it was so packed. I won't do that day again. A friend of mine went on Thanksgiving last year and loved it, said it was a great less-crowded day. ;)

My very first trip to Disneyland was as a college student on Black Friday, 1979. It is one of the fondest memories of my life. A lifelong dream come true. I remember meeting Bernard and Miss Bianca. Great memories.
