Just recieved three emails from seaworld informing me that three of the photo's I have submitted have been chosen to appear on their website and 3 family tickets for free entry to any Anheuser-Busch adventure park (excluding DC) are winging their way to me via UPS, they included the following link which will when it goes live on the site, not telling when that will be, will show a piccie of youngest DS eating a Shamu icecream, well wearing some of it, whilst waiting in the Dolphin Stadium for the show. http://assetupload.seaworld.com/web...?ID=B43b298ad-beb7-4c4b-a9d4-51539d50ba67.jpg

This has really boosted me as we had a difficult weeked with eldest DS swimming in the London Regional Youth Champs, competiting against the best young swimmers in London, where one swimmer, who I had identified by another parent cos their child saw them doing it, tried to stop my son from competing in an event by removing his name from the start list - to complicated to explain how but basically the only way this boy would beat my son was to stop DS from competiting when this did not work twice, cos luck was on our side and we noticed, he then took to writing rude comments with reference to DS height. It marred what was a fantastic weekend were DS won 2 x gold, 3 x silver, 1 x bronze in a combined 15/16yr agegroup and set a new record for 50m freestyle. Cos the swimmer that reported it to me is intimidated by the other family they would not come to the officials to get them disqualified so officially I can not do anything, but on the plus side the prsident of Surrey ASA congratulated me on having a son that was a credit to our club, to me and a fantastic young man with whom she had some interesting conversations _ about what I don't know!!! I am proud to say that DS rose above the insults and cheating (get the pun to his height) and beat the boy where it hurt him most in the water, cos he didn't make it to the podium once.

So my three surprise emails have boosted me after an emotionally draining weekend - shall look forward to a free day at a theme park, I might even go back to Busch gardens although we vowed not to after our last two experiences but it will be free.

I can't get the link to work, but congratulations on both fronts - the Sea World news and your son's amazing achievements. Well done to him (and you) for rising above it and coming through it, too. :goodvibes

Excellent news ~ Well done to you both:goodvibes

Fab news, well done :thumbsup2

Well done on your photos and as for your son - What a great achievement  What a shame about the ridiculous behaviour from the other competitor. Glad actions spoke louder than words and your son beat him fair and square

That's really great well done :yay: And well done to your son too very impressive!

Fantastic news, Claire, you really deserve it. Sorry to hear about the problems with the swimming championships, but so pleased to hear that your son showed him how it was done.

Laur's princess:

Well done to both of you! Tell your Ds congratulations from me please

Well done on your photos and congratulations to your son, he did so well to win so many medals:)
