We have been in WDW since Sun. My Mom and Dad flew in for 1 night. They are going with us to a Braves game tommorow. My Dad is a big baseball fan and especially likes the Braves. As soon as the game is over with we are heading home.
Anyway, we have been trying to get them to come with us since their one and only trip in 2000. We commando toured and burnt them out. No more WDW for them. Not such good memories. Heck, it was only our 2nd trip so we didnt know we should slow down.
We took them to Ohana tonight and had a wonderful meal. MMMM pretty much sums it up. We asked for a table near the window very nicely BTW and couldnt have gotten a better view of the Castle. We got seated at 6:35 so I gave up on the idea of seeing the 8pm Wishes fireworks. Didnt realize the meal would be that strung out. At the end of the meal, our waiter brought out the pineapple with caramel and asked if we would like coffee. I asked if it was Kona, he said no but it was no problem to get some. That did the trick, bought us an extra 15 mins.
Bottom line... we saw a fireworks show like no other I have seen in a while...with a birds eye view...and the audio coming in just like we were right there in the Magic Kingdom!!
Tears were once again welling up in my eyes. And yes, Im a guy.
The cool part of it is, just when you think you have expereinced all WDW has to offer(in truth I dont think thats possible)something else touches you when you least expect it and you understand once again the reason WDW draws you too it.
And I think my Mom and Dad enjoyed seeing the easier side of WDW also!! Maybe, just maybe they will wont to come back with us someday.
