Just got our paper work in the mail today!! We are on our way now

My 1 question though: as soon as we sign and mail them back in can we book or what? We are looking to go down end of Nov for 9 days and Today would be our 11 month window.

Assume you are buying directly through Disney. If so, you can book as soon as Disney receives your deposit and puts you into the system. That can take a few days. I'd call MS (or your guide) Tuesday or Wednesday next week and see if you're in the system yet.

If you are buying via resale, then you can't book until after you've closed and Disney puts you into the computer system. That will take much longer than if you buy from Disney directly.

P.S. If you bought SSR, you won't have any trouble getting your reservation even if you have to wait a few weeks after your window opens, so don't worry too much.

Yes we did everything through Dis and have our temp membership cards. Thanks for the info and I'm going to look over paper work with DH tonight and then on Monday call to book our trip!!

I'm so excited to go back to Dis and this will be our first family trip (Dh 25, Me 23 & DD 9 months)

You can book as soon as you have the membership numbers. You can't use until your downpayment is paid completely, so you shoud be good to go now even. I would try to call in and see if you can book now.

when did you purchase your membership? We are supposed to receive papers to sign on tuesday and purchased our membership yesterday. we really want to bank our 2005 points prior to jan 31st so we don't lose them all. Can we bank them as soon as we receive papers to sign tuesday, or...? we purchased directly thru disney and gave full deposit on credit card.

OK, this one I know. I gave a $500 deposit on my credit card over the phone, received my paper work and called to ask when I could call in my reservation - NOW was the answer. I hadn't mailed in my full deposit, but I was in the system with my temporary membership card. The information said that once the contract is final, a pin will be mailed with the permanent membership card and then I can access through the web.
So, I banked my points that day, made ressie for Oct, and overnighted my paperwork - now I just hope it all goes through!!! Won't I look foolish if it doesn't? YIKES. I sent it on Tuesday - so they got it Wed. I am on pins and needles!!!

We got our "you're in" call last night from our guide. It was three weeks since we sent back our paperwork. Of course, there were two holidays!
