I have my MF's drafted out of my checking account and the monthly draft is only going up $3 per month and this is on 290 pts. I have to say I am very pleased.

The actual operational dues went up more than that. You will find that the lower increase is due to a credit you are getting for paying more in property tax than was necessary in 2012. Dues payable for property taxes are DVD's best guess at the beginning of the year as to what the local authorities will actually charge during the year and it is often somewhat less or somewhat more than what those authorities actually charge.

Definitely a good part of it is that.

We own our points at AKV, and received an approx $30 credit on overpaid property taxes.

Our dues payment went up, on a monthly basis, about $3 per month, too.

The tax credit works out to about 2.50 a month...so dues WOULD have gone up about $5 per month (with the 2 "abouts" actually totaling around 5).

Which is something to keep in mind for the *following* year, when things even out again!

Our dues only went up $7 TOTAL on 695 points. I keep thinking there must be a mistake somewhere, but when I look on dvcmember.com, we have a $0 balance due on our maintenance fees statement.
