Just got my docs - couple questions...

Hi! We just received our packet of documents in the mail for our Dec 15 trip. I just wanted to confirm a few things with the experts.

We are renting a car and not using Magical Express. I've read about people discussing their ME luggage tags. We also received a set of luggage tags. They don't say ME on them; just have the castle and say Disney Travel Co. Do the ME luggage tags look different? I just want to make sure that if we use the ones we got, the ME people won't pick up our luggage from baggage claim. I'm assuming the ones I received are just an extra from Disney Travel and don't actually route your luggage anywhere. Is that correct?

Also, we received a hotel voucher for Pop but nothing regarding our park tickets. I'm assuming our park tickets and dining credits will be added to our room keys and that our Pop reservation includes all that info. Is this correct?

One more question regarding charging on our room key - Can we specify that two of us (the parents) get charging priviledges and that the kids don't? Or, are all the cards linked together and everyone has to choose the same charging option? The kids will always be with us but I don't want them to charge something cool when we're not looking!

Thanks for your help! :)

Are you talking about the nice ones that are about 2 1/4 x 4 1/4? Everyone gets those. The Magical Express tags are just like the long, narrow, sticky ones that the baggage handlers put on your bags when you check them except that they are bright yellow and they do say Magical Express on them. So as long as you don't have the bright yellow ones your okay. :thumbsup2
The new way they do the park tickets is that your door key and your park tickets are one and the same. And you can have charging privaleges put on only the tickets that you want. :goodvibes

The tags you recieved are a perk, the ME tags are long, sticky and BRIGHT yellow. They do not come with the other documents, either.

Yes, your tickets and DDP credits are linked with your reservation. You only get the hotel voucher.

You may specify room keys as having charging or not, regardless of whether they are the kids or an adults. I am seriously considering not letting DH have charging in Feb after what he spent in September! :rotfl:

Cool! Thanks for the replys. Yes, we got the nice plastic luggage tags but not the bright yellow ME tags. Sounds like we're OK to use them and retrieve our own luggage since we're renting a car.

And I'm glad I can specify that the kids won't be able to charge on their cards. They've been know to go crazy in arcades!

Thanks for the help! :)

How do you use the card in the arcades?

I was thinking back to our Disney Cruise when I wrote about arcades. You would use your cruise card to purchase an arcade card from a machine. The card was pre-loaded with $10 for the arcade games, each of which cost $1. My boys kept asking for more arcade cards and, if they had charging priviledges on their cruise cards, we would have been in trouble!

I don't know if they have the same system at Disney resort arcades. If they do, I definitely don't want the boys to be able to charge!
