They arrived in the mail today. Thought I'd mention this since a number of people have asked questions about how long the DDE cards take to arrive. I ordered on September 16th (I'm going to WDW Oct. 25-30), so it took just 19 days for the cards to get here. The expiration date is October 31, 2006 - so I say THANK YOU to the DIS'er who offered the info on ordering after the 15th of the month. Now I can use this for NEXT year's F & W trip, too!!!

Sounds great! I'm ordering my card Nov. 8th for our trip Dec. 11th. The CM told me if I waited till then, my card would be valid to the end of next year.
I hope my card comes in as quickly as yours did.

How do you get a DDE card? I thought you had to be in Florida.
:confused3 :confused3 :confused3

upon-a-star: If you are a AP holder you can purchase the DDE card.

Also, we are leaving on November 23rd to Disney ... when should I order my DDE card, if I plan to use it in end of October to middle of November 2006 again?

Thank You. :goodvibes

cajunwdwfan, I'm also ordering mine for our december trip(12/03-12/15). When I called the cm suggested I call back oct 5th for the DDE card to end Nov 2006 and after the 15th for it to last until dec.2006. If I wait until the 15th she said I wouldn't receive the card before we leave but I could pick up a paper at WDW. I don't think I'll be going back next december(going again in April) but december is my favorite time to go so I'm not sure if I'm going to order it now or wait and not get the card in time :confused3 Susan

this is so cooool :cool1:

We leave June 24, 2006. I will order April 16, 2006 - that will leave 9 weeks for processing. Or would May 1, 2006 and 7 weeks to process be OK ?

Do I have to wait till May 16, 2006 and only 5 weeks to process to get June 2007 ?

I hope the DDE to be valid till June 2007 ??? Keeping my fingers crossed.

Yes - we are just North-Easter USA AP holders - nice perk for us who do not live in Florida. :sunny:

I also heard the DDE cards are created and shipped from PA - so that may be the 19 day reason for arrival. We are 3 states away from PA.

:teeth: To order: Disney's Dining Experience office at (407) 566-5858, Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

This sounds stupid but can you tell me what day your credit card was charged? I can't remember what date I called on, but my card was charged on 9/22. I am leaving next Saturday, and I am so hoping it comes before I go.

Thanks!

Just wanted to add I ordered my cards on Sept. 13 and got them today. They also have an expiration date of October, 2006. :cool1:

Can't wait to use them!

by experation date of Oct., do you mean it is valid through the end of Oct.?

That's exactly what my CM told me, even though I gave her a hard time because I really wanted to order it NOW
:smooth: so that I would have the actual card in my control freak hands, but cooler minds - on these boards - prevailed and I'll pick up my temporary card at Epcot Guest Relationships when we arrive on 12/3.

Congrats on getting your card. It saves you, with family of 10 in may saved over $600. :Pinkbounc

elgerber- I just checked and my credit card was ordered on Sept 16th and charged on Sept. 18th.

The DDE card is awesome, I'm a Florida resident and I've purchased this card for many years, itmore than pays for itself every trip we take, which are usually only weekend trips. At a cost of $50, it's break even point is $250, not too hard to do that in a weekend, much less a longer trip.

Thank you! That means you were about 4 days ahead of me, so there is still some hope I will get mine before the end of next week.

We will be arriving at Disney November 25th. I ordered my card a couple of days ago and they said it would be valid through November 30, 2006.

I ordered mine on the 7th SEpt when at WDW, picked up a temp card the next day. When my permanant card arrived it is valid through to the end of Oct 2006. As if having an AP isn't pulling me back already!
