My daughter and I just arrived back from WDW last night. We were scheduled to fly out of Orlando on Friday night but ended up renting a car and driving home instead. The drive through Florida and Georgia was a nightmare, bumper to bumper traffic and no hotel rooms. We slept in parking lots!
We did have a wonderful time while we were there and all the tips I found on these board were most helpful.
The main thing is we are home safe and sound and still have 1 day left on our park hopper passes so we will have to go back but definitely NOT in August.

Welcome home...sorry your vacation ended that way but happy to hear you got back safe and sound. I'm sitting here waiting for my neighbours to return. Which route did you take for the drive home?

LOL about you having to return to use up your PHP...we'll use any excure we can won't we?

Thanks, we went straight up I-75 to Detroit airport and dropped off the rental car and took a shuttle home to St. Thomas. I hope your neighbours get home okay, the traffic from Kentucky on was no problem at all.

What a nightmare, sounds like the traffic when we drove down at XMas, but we did get hotel rooms!
