offering room only discounts for 8/05-8/26. Doesn't that overlap with supposed "free dining" dates? Would this discount be offered if Free Dining were on the way? It says:

Disney has overlapped discount dates with free dining in the past. Last year free dining was offered and soon after that, another room-only discount was offered, for the same dates as free dining. Dates overlapping doesn't necessarily mean that one discount wouldn't be offered.

don't worry...this is just Disney's "creative" advertising The $82 plus tax nightly rate is actually the rack rate for Value Season this year...but because this years Value season starts earlier than last year they're being clever and claiming the rates are 15% lower...of course they are, last year those dates were Regular Season! Since they're only advertising this till 8/26 (the rumored start date for free dining) I wouldn't worry about it overlapping since it's not really a discounted rate!

Remember also - even if this WAS a discount, and it's not - there certainly are times that more than one discount is available. So even if they came out with a room-only rate, that doesn't mean that free dine isn't.
