These prices aren't that good. I'm new to DING. We downloaded the software last month when someone announced a good Philly to Orlando fare that covered our travel dates in May. Since then the travel dates have only been for the next month or two. And we got rates of $39 to/from Orlando from Philly. This DING is twice that.

Did DINGs used to cover more timeframe? Were they better rates? Or was I just lucky?

Southwest has only released fares as far out as August 3rd. Keep watching the Transportation Board as new fares are released and DING specials are posted as it gets closer to your departure.

Dings are really hit and miss. I've had rates from PVD/MHT to MCO for as little as $34 each way. But lately they have been much higher. I've also gone to PHL and Baltimore for as little as $24 each way but those have been creeping up too. If I'm planing a trip in advance I book and then wait for a Ding to adjust my price. However if I see a really super Ding it may prompt me to book a quicky trip.
