:cool1: We just got back from a 5 nt./6 day trip The crowds were SO low during the week – they really picked up during the weekend. EMH’s were GREAT!!!! We did EMH night at AK on 11/29 – NOBODY was there! We rode Kali River Rapids 5 times in a row w/out getting off. There were times we were walking and could not see anybody else – it was almost creepy.

Dd (4) fell asleep during EMH night at MK (11/30) so we were limited in what we could do (I felt guilty going on any rides that she could also go on) we did ride Space Mtn. Twice with little to no line. We arrived to watch the parade at the train station about 5 minutes before it started – we had our choice of locations on the curb. During the day there were some lines for the "headliners" - but fast passes made it manageable.

Epcot was amazing. At 11:30 pm test track was a walk on – they actually waved us through the little pre-ride film – some cars were even empty.

The taping of the parade was really neat on Fri. All of the action took place in front of the castle – it really did not affect the park “traffic” much at all. Things did get a little crowded as the day wore on – but Fantasy Land is always a little crazy in the afternoon.

Saturday at MGM was too crowded for my taste – but still doable. Epcot on Sunday was just downright full.

The highlights of the trip were Festival of the Lion King & the Family Magic Tour. Dh was chosen to make the animal sounds at the beginning of the show – he was the wart hog – Disney obviously was “type-casting” :rotfl: . Dd was chosen to be in the parade at the end. I have such precious pictures of her marching w/ the maracas.

The Family Magic Tour was so much fun. We met some wonderful Disers :goodvibes

*Don’t read if you don’t want to know the ending* Watching dd walk through Fantasyland holding hands w/ Sleeping Beauty is a memory I will never forget. Thanks to the board the Dis-Moms were able to suggest riding Small World – giving all the children time w/ Aurora. This board is such an amazing place – actually meeting some of our fellow Dis-ers was a true treat.

I'm not sure if we are just better at planning - or if the crowds were actually lower then last year - we certainly had better luck. Now it’s time to start planning for next year!!! Please feel free to post any questions!

See now, we thought just the opposite about the crowds. We always enocuntered at least a 20-30 minute wait for all rides. Test track on Friday afternoon had a 70 minute wait! And we lost our minds and waited 40 minutes for Snow White. We forgot that the line went down into no mans land before it comes back up to the cue. Compared to Decembers past we thought that this year was more crowded.

We were able to get most of the "headliners" done during the emh's - they are what really surprised us. The longest line we waited in was 50 min. for Soarin - when we got off the line had gone down to 30 min. We were sorry we had waited so long - I think during the EMH it was probably very short. We did use fast pass a couple of times in the MK. It was almsot funny - I was SO obsessed w/ touring plans, fast passes, etc. I was making dh get fp's for the safari ride before we went out to Rafiki's - the CM told me we didn't need them. I was SURE the crowds would start pouring in for emh - they never did. We walked right on w/ no wait. We also walked on the Safari late morning on Thursday.

Many CM's told me the cooler weather kept people away in the evening. There were a couple of times the crowds were awful - trying to find a spot to watch Illuminations on Fri. night was terrible!
