We just got home from 4 days at the Paradise Pier. We had a great room on the 4th floor with a slight view of the park. This was our first to DCA. I really enjoyed the park. DL was a little crowed especially on Mon and Tues, there were a lot of schools there. We would head to DL in the AM and head to DCA in the PM. DCA was definitely less crowed. I really enjoyed the hotel. I couldnt understand what all the fuss was about the elevators until our last day there. For some reason, the elevators would not stop on our floor. We could hear them go by, but they wouldnt stop. On our 1st trip downstairs, we got tried of waiting and took the stairs, only to realize that you have to walk around the hotel to get back in. WE had breakfast at PCH Grill ( not my favorite of the 3 character breakfasts we tried), we had to got back to the room because I forgot my claim check for the package delivery. WE took the elevator no problem, there were a bunch of people waiting for the elevator, I told them it would probably be quicker to take the stairs. We got our claim check and ran into someone from mousekeeping and she directed us to the service elevators, we used those to get back downstairs. We finally found my DH and now we needed to go back up to finish packing to check out, we took the elevator back up and wouldnt you know it the same people were still there waiting for the elevator. A half hour had passed and it was time to leave the room, so we headed to the elevators, there were a bunch of people still waiting to go down. We waited for about 15 minutes and then my DH called the front desk and told them that the elevator wasnt stopping on this floor, he told us again to use the service elevators, so we did. I really think that PP needs to look at the elevators and figure out what the problem is. So many have compalined on these boards ( and I hope to disney as well) that they would realize a problem.

So how did you like the Tower of Terror? Was the weather nice? I love checking the long-range weather forecast - I hope it's correct for my visit! (nothing approaching 98 degrees!) did you eat in Downtown Disney?

(hello Manteca - my brother & his family, inc 6 year-old triplets live in Manteca!)

I loved the TOT. I would have gone on it again if we had more time. We sat in the first row. The weather was perfect. It was a little chilly in the morning, but it would start warming up around 10. The wind would pick up in late afternoon and cool things down quite a bit.

We only ate at the Rainforest. The service was terrible and the food was just ok. We probably wouldnt eat there again.

The two best meals we had were at Hook's Point and Granvilles, both at DLH.
