Just got back last night. It was a fun trip however I did learn a few things along the way.

1. People don't pay attention to guests in scooters. MIL had to use one and so many people, including kids would just walk right in front of her. She came close many times nearly knocking people over. This is something I never realized having never had to use a scooter before.

2. Some CMs are horrible at working with the fast passes. We were wondering why it was taking so long to get on a particular ride when the wait time said 35mins. Finally when we get up to where they're letting those with FPs on, she was letting 1 family go at a time, then about 10 families with FPs go. :/

3. Crowd calendars are completely and utterly inaccurate. I'm never using them again to plan our park days.

4. January=too cold

5. It's true....there are no slow times of the year. I thought we would be good going this month. I understand the new Star Wars movie just came out....it was disappointing having to wait to get on a ride that usually you can walk on over and over again. It was a 40-60 min. wait practically the whole day.

Overall it was a good trip. Other guests are pleasant, CMs are pleasant. My camera and phone got ruined from the one day we had rain. Other than that, good trip.

glad to hear you had a good trip for the most part!!

I hear ya on the crowd calendars; we've never found them helpful but I know many people live by them.

Our 1st park day was suppose to be a 1....yeah ok, lol. They're just not right and we know what we're doing having gone quite a few times. We must face it....Disney is and will always be a busy place no matter what time of year. :/

This is exactly what they are supposed to do! The fast pass line should be as close to zero wait as possible. That means many more fast pass are let through than standby if there are fast pass riders waiting.

I feel the crowd calendars USED to be fairly accurate - whole different ball game now. They really need to be revised according to the new, ridiculous crowd levels because they're so inaccurate now they're unfortunately just not useful.

Unfortunately this is true. It is especially bad on Winnie the Pooh.

Never seen to be done like this before. I personally don't think it's fair to those waiting in standby. If they're going to do it that way, then the wait time that's posted should be more accurate. 35 min. wait is a little different than 60 mins.

This is the exact ride I'm talking about, lol. We normally don't mind waiting a reasonable amount of time for this because the play area, bees, and honey/bacteria wall.

It's less of an issue with how they are handling the fast passers then, and more of an issue with accurately estimating standby times. Sorry you got swindled into a longer line than you expected. That would be frustrating, but it's not the CMs fault that was letting in the fast passers, it's the standby line estimation algorithm they are using.

Hate the new fastpass system but I seem to be in the minority. Crowd charts have been way off for us for the last couple years. Early December used to be an awesome time to go, no longer although the crowd charts continue to show little crowds. Oh how I miss the old days but I'm afraid the secrets out
