This is a composite of two images that were taken three seconds apart.

Nice, I am hoping for good weather the end of march. It will also be a (mostly) photography trip. 4 days including the early and late travel days. I expect to come back more tired than when I left, but with a full HD.

can't wait to see more. But the more I see, the more I feel I am copying someones idea.

I've been gone for a while and decided to pop back in for a quick Disney fix!! Oh my GOSH!! those pics are stunning - the composite is supreme!!!!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

I took some of these at the 4:40 show and thought the sky was too light. I went back for the 5:40 show and think the sky value was much better. If only this kind of light lasted for a few hours...

Awesome pics ...I really want to go again ...I have a dig now so i can take and see right away...Cant wait till feb 08 ..

Those are awesome!
i'm kind of jealous.
I have no photography skills and I can't even get a great picture of Cinderella's Castle in the dark.
:sad2:
you're a great, creative, and innovative photographer though. Keep up the good work!
:goodvibes

Thank you so much!
You're too kind, I believe the truth is I am mostly a good imitator and a good technician.
Most of my photography skills were learned from looking at other people's photographs (and other artworks) and imitating what I liked. The technical part I learned (over many years) from reading and testing ideas.

Where I am going with this is, I feel almost anyone can learn to do this if they apply themselves and practice a lot. I encourage everyone to try, and keep trying, read some more, and try again.

And when that fails, I just throw money at it. ;)

bob i have to say you have outdone your usual terrific work on these...every one of them is fantastic...it was well worth your 3 days

Thanks for sharing those pics, they are great! I especially liked the fireworks shots for Illuminations and the castle show (which we missed this last trip due to "inclement weather" which was better described as "sheets of water":sad1: ).

If you don't mind sharing some secrets, where were you standing for those shots? They all seemed well above the crowds.

Love these two shots! Didn you take them from the train station balcony?

Thank you!
These were taken from one of the concrete benches on the castle side of the circle. I had watched the show earlier and knew when the fireworks would go off, so at that point I stood up on the bench (for as short a time as possible) and fired off about four shots. I was only about 18" higher than normal (about even with the little girl on her father's shoulders next to me) but the 10-22 lens makes it seem like I was really up there.

The railroad station is not a good place from which to photograph the castle, the flag pole is usually in the way except at Christmas time, when the flag pole *and* the Christmas tree are in the way. ;)

The 10-22 is becoming my 2nd favorite lens, next to the 24-105. Many of the images in this thread were taken with the wide lens.

Great photos Bob - I really like all the color in the composite one. Hmmm... I think we're a long way from 2000 though!
