Ok, let me get to the nitty gritty. I'll do this bullet style so as not to bore youParks/crowds- -Magic Kingdom on Sunday, Oct 7 was absolutley deserted. Did Cindy's breakfast(see Restaurants) at 8am,and in the park by 9:10am. No waits, 5-10 minutes at the most, even on Dumbo, Peter Pan. Recommend Sundays at MK for everybody. Its a Small world was down for a while, then back up that nite. Walked right on Barnstormer! My 2.5 year old liked it! Did the Carosel of Progress and cant get the song out of my head"Its a great big beautiful tomorrow..."Weather was great, a little cool actually.
Tues-Epcot-crowds a little heavier, still windy out so crowds were manageable. Saw a great fashion show in ITaly. Saw Illuminations for the first time. Do not sit in the front seating section-you will not be able to see. Stand in the back at the entrance of the countries, much better viewing.Ate at Coral Seas.
Wed-Animal Kingdom. Although it is always hotter here(and this day was no exception)it still wasnt that bad weather wise. It started raining for about 10 minutes, take ponchos definitely! Crowds a little heavy here. We did Donald's Breakfastauraus and thought we were getting in early, at 9am, but the park opened at 8am. Still walked right in Its Tough to be a Bug. Saw Festival of Lion King-Loved it!
Thursday-MGM-HOT! The weather started getting hotter, the crowds even heavier. No fast pass for Tower of Terror that day. But the line was 30 minutes, my husband waited on it and loved it. Same with Rock N Roll Coaster-he loved it, but it was fast pass by the time he got on it. The kids loved Playhouse Disney, I loved Who wants to be a millionare(caution, small children tend to be bored) and hearing all about good ole Walt in the 100 yr movie on him(forget the name). Stayed for Fantasmic, got in about 7pm and got the last row before standing room only. QUESTION-why do they let late people get up front? They did that repeatedly at Beauty and the Beast, Indy Jones, and Fantasmic. They send them strate up front where originally they hold it for handicapped. Its almost like you want to wait till right before the show starts to go in, you get a better seat!. Fantasmic once again proved that in the World of DIsney-good always wins over evil! Which once again takes you out of what's going on in the real world.
Friday-waterparks-Typhoon and Blizzard. Very Crowed, sunny and hot for the first part of the day, then cloudy for the second half. BLizzard had long lines for the slides, but a better kids area in my opinion. Bring your own towels!
Saturday was back to MK and the hottest, most crowded day ever! All lines were 55 min or more. Fast passes were for 7pm on Splash Mountain at 4pm.Lines didnt go down until 9pm that nite. But I was able to ride Thunder Mountain 3 times in a row by then! Spectro was so crowded. People lined the streets at 6:30 for the 8pm show. I was able to sit on a flower pot right next to Liberty tree. Good seats. The worse part about this day was the lines to the trams, monorail and ferry to the transportation station. It took us from 9:15 to 10:45 to get to the parking lot. There has to be a better way! I have to say that even in the long lines, heat and all the waiting, everyone was so friendly! All the bag checkers were polite and friendly. At MK on the last day, we were searched more thoroughly than on Sunday. They actually opened make up bags, little bags in our backpak. I was glad though. By then, the country had seen the start of the war, and 5 suspected anthrax cases, one fatal.
Restaurants-Cindys-great ambience, so-so food, love the princesses, worth the wait.
Chef Mickeys-always a favorite-good food, great character interaction.
Crystal Palace-the tie for favorite character meal with Hollywood and Vine. Better service here, great food, love the ambience and decor!
Hollywood and vine-best food out of all of them, Minnie was very prominent, so of course my 2 yr old girl loved it, service on the poor side.
Coral Seas-great ambience, great food, high prices, love the peanut butter dough.
Donalds Breakfastaurus-down home cooking-ok if you like that-good character interaction, not crazy about the ambience.
Cypress point resort-great room, poor, poor, customer service, trash was left outside the door. Great pool, although not heated enough.
Other tips-the Tv/Vcr from Target worked great. My 2 and 6 yr old were occupied all the way
up, and in the hotel during down times.
I hope I have covered it all! Any questions!

You did a great job. I'm glad you decided to go and that you had a good time. Thanks for posting.

Thanks for the post! Just one quick question, which water park did you prefer? Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach? Thanks. :)

Beth

we were there in september and found the lines A-okey....not one really long wait except at test track.......and this was before the attack......I love Tower of Terror....but not enough gumption to do RNR.....maybe in April........thanks again for the report

Thanks for the replies on my trip reports, I was worried they were too long, but I really wanted to give the full essence of what I was feeling.
I went this time having done Typhoon, and loving it, and looking forward to spending most of our "water park" day there. But we went to Blizzard first, and ended up spending more time there! For my 2, almost 3 yr old daughter, Blizzard was better. The little children section had more slides, and you didnt get your face wet there. At Typhoon, most of the little tyke section had slides that shoot out water, so kids are bound to get their face wet. My daughter doesnt like that, and the wave pool was a little formidable for her, so she mainly played in the sand. My 6 yr old son also seemed to like Blizzard best. If your a teenager, or really like water slides, then Blizzard may also be your thing. I really like the setting of Typhoon. If I were to go by myself, I'd go to Typhoon.

Thanks for the report. Just wanted to mention that I also get very annoyed when the cast members give the last comers the "seats of honor". What's with that? It particularly got my goat at the Lion King show, where we arrived early to get good seats, and right when the show started some very tall latecomers were seated right in front of my 6-year-old in previously "reserved" seats. Grrr!

Redmic, Don't you know the "Disney Rule"? No matter how perfect your kid's seats are, right before show time somebody with the biggest, fattest melon head will always plop down right in front of them!

In all my research and looking at these boards, I never saw someone post about that. It really irked me! Get the message out-maybe Disney will stop that policy!
