We flew from Sacramento to SNA early after noon and arrived at PPH around 1pm. Are room wasn't ready yet so we headed over to check out DTD and the other 2 DLR hotels.

Day 1 was a no park day and we had PS at Rain Forest Cafe so we headed there first. Dinner was OK. very noisy and the food was just OK.

After dinner we just strolled DTD and took in all the music and magic, then it was off to bed for a MM at DL.

It was a Thurs. MM and we showed up 35 mins before the park opened and the line to get in was almost back to the DCA construction wall. I though this could not be right its OFF SEASON. They let us in early and we took some great advice from the DIS and walked through the shops till we got near the front for rope drop. And as expected everyone split in two directions. One heading to Nemo and the other to Petter Pan. We went to Petter Pan and had about a 10 min wait.

Then from there we did the rest of Fantasy land with little to no wait. Once the park opened it got busy quick and the lines just keep getting longer. The only rides we could walk on to at this time were POTC and Pooh. IJ had 45 mins waits most of the day (when it was not down), Matterhorn was at 35+ and nemo was near 45mins. oh and BTMR was down all day. Got stuck in IASW for over 20 mins, and they never turned off the song.
My DD4 got to do BBB and she loved it.

Ah, your girls are adorable! Looks like a good start to a great trip!

Awww, your girls are adorable! Looking forward to the rest of your report. :)

Love your pics and the trip report.

How bad is the walk from PPH to DL? We will be walking with our 2 girls around the same age.

Great pics, thanks for sharing. I am surpried at the turnout for being offseason as well! How would you rate PPH?

We were there from 9/15-9/20 and it was definitely not off season. We have been in September before and it was not as busy as it was this trip.

If you go through the GCH its not long at all, maybe 10 mins. You walk out the front of PPH down to the corner cross the street to the GCH go into there lobby and go out the side to the start of DTD by the Disney 365 store and then its a short walk from there to the main gate. I had a stroller for my 2 girls so it made the walking speeds faster, but if they had to walk it I am sure they could. I used a stand and sit stroller, highly recommend using one if you can. make getting in and out for each ride easy. My DD4 would stand in the back and my DD2 would ride in the front. we would get to our next ride I would say "out of the stroller" and they were out. no lifting kids in and out of seats, just had to open the tray in front for DD2.

Great report so far, I can't wait for the rest. Your girls are gorgeous :lovestruc

you have such a beautiful family. Your daughters are so beautiful. I am really nervous about doing BBB with my dd, she has a super sensitive head. but she wants to do it.

I can't wait to see more.
