We've been 3 times in the past 4 years and plan on going annually now! We have a few favorite restaurants but LOVE trying new places each visit. Here are some quick thoughts we picked up this trip:

First night - Rose and Crown - This place NEVER disappoints, best fish and chips:) Love sitting outside with water view and if you time it correctly you can see illuminations.

Second day - lunch FP at BOG - we were happily surprised at the efficiency and food here especially for it being a quick service meal.

Third day - Chefs De France - I thought the food was pretty good, my husband thought it was just average. We felt a little rushed here like they maybe had a lot of reservations and needed to get us in and out quickly - not a great feeling after walking 3 kids around MK all day and really wanting to simply sit down and have a few drinks and relax:(

Fourth day - Lunch at Kona Cafe (husband wanted to check out the polynesian) Food was excellent, service was not so much, it took 45 minutes just to get our food (burger, tuna sandwich and 3 kids chicken fingers) - we were there 2 hours.....and it was only half full:confused3

Fifth day - Restaurant Marrakesh - yummy, yummy, yummy - everything here was very good and kids had a blast. Service was just a tad above average.

Sixth day (breakfast) - Cinderellas Royal Table - Emphasize Royal here as they REALLY know how to treat you, best service we had, best wait staff and VERY good food!

Sixth day (dinner) - Mama Melrose - Everything here was average

Last night - Liberty Tree Tavern - I was told by the family that we HAVE to eat here EVERYTIME we come (and this is saying a lot from my kids, picky eaters) -- we were sooo full!

We will definitely eat at Rose and Crown, CRT and LTT next year!

Thanks for the reviews. Glad to hear the world treated you so well

We love the Rose and Crown too! The Scottish Egg is so yummy! WE just got back too!

Great review. I have not been to WDW since 201 and I noticed that dinning prices have gone through the roof or am I just reading the wrong things? TIA

Nice to hear about Marrakesh-DH and I are finally trying it in March :goodvibes

Thanks for the info and reviews! We have never tried Rose and Crown so I will add it to the"to do list". I have also heard others say good things about Marrekesh. We might have to try that one, as well!

We tried Chefs de France last month and felt the same way. Average food, quite rushed and I'll add, incredibly noisy. We were excited to try it but not likely to return. We may just have to try Rose and Crown!!!!!:goodvibes

Your tastes and ours are parallel...Marrakesh being the only one we arent crazy about. As for Kona, service can be hit and miss. Try it again someday, breakfast really good there as well

hubby decided to put Rose and Crown on our list for may..all these years and have never been there..so he made the ressie for 8:10pm...we will see if we can get outside for illuminations..
Thanks so much for your review and I am going to move this over to the review board..

We really have to try Rose and Crown one of these trips! I just love Raglan Road so much that I don't want to be disappointed.

In 2012 we went to Chef's because Remy was still there and my daughter really wanted to see him, and I was interested in the food. I left feeling very disappointed for what I paid vs what we got. It's beautiful inside, I'll give it that. Our service was great. But I was very underwhelmed by the food.

Just curious - when you went to CRT did they serve fruit with your breakfast? (I'll be there in April for breakfast - love the castle)
But when I look at the breakfast menu it doesn't mention fruit.

You really should try it, especially if you love Raglan. We have been to both and they are both high on our repeat trip list (though I will wait until the construction gets done before I go back to DTD). We've been 3 times in the last year to Rose & Crown and never yet had a bad meal.

We always book a table for 7:00, arrive a few minutes early and let them know that we'll wait for a waterside table. We do expect to eat for the full two hours (and leave a good tip). We start with drinks and appetizers then move to entrees and then on to dessert. Been a pretty successful strategy for us - trying it again in a week.
