Just Got Back ! Loved The Magic Bands !

We just got back and I love the magic bands ! It made it so easy to do everything without digging around for papers or cards. When we arrived at the airport we just scanned our magic band and was on our way. It just made it easy to check in, to get in and out of our room, going through the gates at the parks, for the laundry door, for entering the rides with our fastpasses and it was so easy to scan magic bands for our meals and snacks. I was glad my DGD could order and pay for her quick service and snacks without me having to dig the card out of my purse. Actually she enjoyed being the one to use her magic band to scan for everything we did.
I also loved having 3 fastpasses before we entered the park. I did have trouble using the MDE app that I downloaded onto my mini ipad but I found that if we went into the disneyworld.disney.go.com web site I had no problems. On the app it said I had no fastpasses and I panicked until I went in through the disney site and everything was there shew ! After I figured out I could go to the disney site and change my times or rides around I had no trouble at all. We also went to the koisk to get some extra fastpasses , we did have some trouble finding the koisk but it did not take long to set another one up after finding them.
We breezed through everything we wanted to do besides fighting some crowds everything went smooth and I absolutely love fastpass + and using the magic bands.

Sounds like our experience, we were there in April and really loved the ease and all in one use of the magic bands, the fast pass+ was good for us! We are a party of two so a little easier getting the fast pass for us, easy to change if we needed as well. We found it was easy to still park hop even with just three fastpass selections in one park, couldn't get 4,5 etc..when we were there. The strategy we used was RD EH in one park then take a break in afternoon, head to 2nd park and use fastpass+ in that park! we never really felt rushed and we as a party of two were able to do everything we wanted to! I travel with my DD age 14, we go every year and have a ball! So glad to have a great traveling partner, just ask a teenager and they remember where everything is from year to year LOL!

Yes this time it was just me and my grandaughter who is 11. My daughter was going to go but couldnt. We went before just the 2 of us and it does make it easier to do things and I love it. I'm not sure if it would make it harder to use fastpass + with more then 2 in a group or not, but it was great for us. We rode every thing we wanted , the longest we waited was about 30 min for SB at POTC.
