The fireworks! The town next to mine decided to have them tonight since they had some crowd problems last year on the 3rd. Now I have to find somewhere else to watch them on the 3rd. I love the firewoks and these ones were beautiful!

Very Cool!
Where are you? We are in Woburn and last night around 9:15 we started hearing something like fireworks off in the distance. I doubt we could have heard them from south of Boston, but now Im wondering. :D

The town next to me had them too last night, I didn't go though cause it isn't the same if it isn't on the 3rd. My town does it now so I wait for them. :D

You guys have your fireworks on the third?

Honeywolf--

A lot of the towns near Boston have fireworks on the third (or earlier) because on the 4th there is the Boston Pops Concert on the Charles River, with a HUGE fireworks show at the end of it, and lots of folks (to the tune of hundreds of thousands) to to that.

That being said, I know Hanover and Abington had fireworks last night.

Braintree had them last night too, I could hear them in my house but couldn't see them :D

We were at the ones in Abington. Gail T, what town has them on the 3rd? I think my kids will be disappointed if they don't gwet to see them on the 3rd cause that is when we always go.

wdwnutze--I *think* (not sure, you should prolly check) that Weymouth is having them on the 3rd at Wessagusset Beach. And Hingham is having them on Saturday the 5th (again I *think*) but there are a few towns around that still have them to do.

Thanks Debster. I always forget about the Hingham ones. We will be at the parade there on Friday. We go every year and really look forward to it.

The development we live in has a Country Club in the middle of it. They put on a great fireworks show!! We walk about two blocks to the CC with our blanket and enjoy a terrific show. Best of all, no traffic to fight.

Hey, I was at the Abington fireworks last night too!!! We go there every year as it is right next door from our town. A great tradition and gotta have the fried dough...yum. My 15 yr. old DS brought a friend and he won one of those little bastketballs and ended up throwing that to each other for about a half an hour after the show. Great fun as always. Where were you sitting? We had 4 boys with us and was on the grass. :D

Hi Jillpie! We were sitting behind the Police station. We never go to the carnival-too many people and I was alone with my 2 dd's. We walk from the Knights of Columbus(I think that's what it is). It is only about a 5 minute walk and it helps witht he traffic nightmare trying to get out of there. What a small world that both of us were there. Are you going to other fireworks later in the week?

Funny! Small world. You know, the Abington fireworks are usually IT for us. Its the big night out (we're big spenders, lol). So I don't think we'll be going anywhere for the 3rd or the 4th. Probably watching the Pops on tv, something I'd love to see in person some year. But like thats gonna happen when you have to park yourself at the Esplanade at 6:00 am, no thanks!!! But I do like that show. Hey, have fun if you go somewhere! :D
