Just got back from using Alamo....

We used Alamo for the first time and everything went great! When we got down to Alamo the line was very long and the lady who had just got her car said she waited an hour and a half in line for their car because only 2 people were on the counter. There were 4 people at the counter when we got in line and 2 more came out about 10 minutes later so we were in line about 20-25 minutes.Not too bad. We reserved 'economy' but the guy upgraded us to 'compact'....at first he tried to talk us into paying for an upgrade and after we said 'no thanks' the first couple of tries he just gave it to us.
We got to go to the parking garage and pick out our car.A 4 door Chevy Cavalier and it was my favorite color: Red!..
It was the first time we used an airport car rental and we liked it alot but I think the next time we use Alamo one of us should go get in line while the other waits for the luggage. I'm sure it would have been much quicker if we had done it that way! But no biggie,we'll be using Alamo for our future car rentals too.

My DH and I aalways split up at the airport. It works so well I get the car he gets the luggage and I pick him up Very rarely does he even have to wait It seems like he is just walking out the door when I get there We call it our car rental system our friend were impressed when we went with them in Dec
