Just got back from the Fort!!

We just spent 10 days at Fort Wilderness. We stayed in campsite 1001 which is right across from the Meadow Trading Post and Pool! We had a blast. We just got home yesterday after Memorial Day. It was extremely hot and humid. The food at Trail's End was awesome as usual. I had never tried to Chili in 13 trips to the Fort but did this time and it was awesome. I wish someone had the recipe. It tasted like it had alot of tomatoe based products in it.

You had a great site!! We've been in 1001 before & loved it!! Too bad you didn't make it around the corner to 919 on Saturday nite! A bunch of us "ear-regular's" were eating, drinking, singing, and generally being the bunch of goofs we are here on the board!! We would have loved meeting you & the family!

Look for another GG on July4!! We will all be in the site with the "Tree of Fame"!

Sorry we missed you...we're at FW now in 1600 loop. You're from my neck of the woods...well, we just moved from the Dallas area to Atlanta. FW is awesome, huh? The campground is dead now. I think most folks pulled out on Monday!! We're sitting and enjoying the evening before going to the beach for fireworks.

What was your fuel cost like? I'm trying to convince family from the Dallas area to pull here!!

Hello Shultzee13! We live in Kilgore, practically neighbors ( about 25 miles) Yea, that is a great loop, I wish it was a pet loop. who knows, maybe we will meet ya'll at the fort someday. We would love a trip report!

We were there also for the Memorial Day weekend. Stayed in 800 loop and as always had a great time.

Going back for Labor Day for more FT fun.

You guys in 900 must not have been too loud I didn't hear you and I was outside alot. When the Deer Flies would leave me alone long enough. We have been to FW many times and this is the worst bug problem we have ever seen there. We have been there in all seasons.

We love the Christmas season most as it is so beautiful. Weather is usually good but this last year it was cold.
