....and I'm homesick already.
After reading these boards for the last few months I looked for things I probably wouldn't have in the past so these are just random observations:
All CMs we dealt with especially at the BCV were typically Disney courteous. And we got a Welcome Home!
No bugs anywhere that I saw.
Nothing in the room (a Studio) or anywhere at the facility in noticable disrepair (a section was boarded off at the BC for refurb)
Occassional garbage in the halls always quickly removed. I think this is as much a communication thing as anything else since one room had the trash room right across from it (I don't think everyone knows about this). Also we skipped on trash n tidy and Mousekeeping told us to put the towels in the hall! They picked them right up.
Never did see the aligator even though we had the canal/pool view.
Walked by the Epcot side. It is close to the road but I'm from NYC so I don't think that would bother me.
Halls are long but you learn shortcuts that are probably just as long but seem shorter.
Loved the fact that you are so close to EPCOT, Especially after a long day. Location, location, location (and we bought sight unseen).
Beaches N Cream Cheeseburgers were the best I've had and watching someone order a Kitchen Sink is a show in itself.
SAB passed my 10 year old's stringent approval.
Kids are getting older so next time it will be a 1BR. We knew this would be the last time we did a hotel style trip so it was fine but I can definitely see the no turning back problem once you step up.
Saw models for BCV 1&2 BR and BWV & SSR and loved them all. There's an add on happy dance in my future.
Never waited for more than 10 minutes for a bus (most times they were right there.)
Crowds were managable if you plan your Fast Passes right and work the parks at the right times.
Finally, weather was great. Rain a few hours each of the first two days (needed ponchos but it passed) and then literrally a few 5 minute showers that did not interfere. Heat was fine except for one day and I think that is because we were at AK where it is pretty much wide open.
So my only complaints were to Delta for delaying our luggage a few hours and for Hertz over charging me (which I got corrected).
To me it was a typical fantastic Disney time topped by the fact that now we know we will be going back every year in great style!
